Thought I'd let you guys know if anyone here hasn't played this yet.

Team Fortress 2 is now free to play, with some small limitations (Free users have smaller backpacks, can't gift items or send items to trade) You can upgrade to a "paid" user by buying any item from the store.

I know a few people here play it and I used to so this is great for me since I used to share a Steam account with my dad so I didn't have it on my personal account.

It runs on both Windows and Mac

(PC) Minimum: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8.1 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE), Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

(Mac) Minimum: OS X version Leopard 10.5.8, Snow Leopard 10.6.3, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8 or higher, ATI X1600 or higher, or Intel HD 3000 or higher Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Download it from here: (You need Steam installed) http://store.steampowered.com/app/440/

Are there any special hats for the people who own the game? Or some sort of buyer only item?

You get a hat I believe, also you will get a premium membership (Although this is got through buying a item in the ingame store) , Free users (Which I sadly am at the moment) also have limitations, In trades free users can not send items (Only recieve), Can not gift items (Only recieve) and can only 50 items in a backpack.

Hey everyone, I'm new I registered just so I can get a response on this. Please tell me, is it true that if you buy one item from the Team Fortress 2 item store, no matter the amount you pay, you get full rights to trade and do everything in TF2 just like you would have bought the game? I was very sad this morning when I found out that if you are a free-to-play, you won't be able to trade in items. I got like 3 items that, in total, were having a value of around $5 and I wanted to trade them in. I'd be willing to pay $1 or something like that to get an item but I must first find out if it's true or not. Thanks for your time! :D

As far as I know yes, The only thing is you have to put at least $5 in your Steam Wallet to actually be able to buy an item.

I enjoy their Team Fortress videos much more than I enjoy the actual game.Which is not a bad game, mind you, just over-rated.Online games such as Club Penguin are awesome, but anime style games like Pockie Pirates are better than Club Penguin and even they are also developed by the Chinese developers behind Mythic Saga and call of Thrones. However, if you play Tamer Saga, you will find them indentical to each other.
