I have to admit there isn't much in the way of prior Wii releases that I'm interested in, with the exception of Skyward Sword. Someday I'll probably pick up the Super Mario Galaxy games and Super Paper Mario. I'm always open to other titles, its just that nothing else has really caught my eye.

Then it sounds like it's time to do a little research! Or if you have time to tell me what kind of games you like, then I may be able to offer you some suggestions.

RPGs, preferably ones that are for casual-style players, not hardcore, technical strategy fests. Single player games, things along the lines of Ocarina of Time, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid. And the most perplexing request, I'm sure, would be games that don't have a lot of motion control action. A little is fine (my console came with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and I like that the control is seemingly only slightly enhanced by "moving" the controller) but I don't want to swing a club or slice the air with a sword so much.

As far as I'm concerned, Tomb Raider Anniversary on the Wii is the definitive version, so you might want to take a look at that.

Personally, I like Underworld but it's got some severe alterations to the Tomb Raider games. Reduced number of enemies, and regenerating life to name a few.

I also enjoyed Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent though it's not all it could be. I heard good things about Little King's Story, but you'll want to take a look at it yourself.

Plenty of Single Player games available. You need to look and broaden your horizon, something that very few Wii gamers do, unfortunately.

I've heard some good things about MadWorld, which is probably the most violent game on the system.

That game sounds pretty intense and unique, but I'm not sure I can handle the graphical style. I'm all for games that are visually different, but I still prefer something that looks realistic for me to get immersed.

MadWorld is an acquired taste. I see its merits, but it never warmed up to me. Kind of like No More Heroes 1 and 2.

As far as RPGs go, there's quite a few JRPGs or Japanese style adventure games like the Final Fantasy ones. There's also Monster Hunter and Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga. I never really appreciated them, but they might be right up your alley.

Found out today that there will be an art book pre-order bonus with XenoBlade Chronicles. Since I've already pre-ordered mine I should be getting the book, but I need to hit up the local Gamestop to confirm and pay off the game. Just a few more weeks!

A couple links with interesting info on XenoBlade Chronicles.

First, there is a bundle being released that includes a black Classic Controller Pro but no special box or logo on the controller. I was starting to worry that I bought GoldenEye 007 for the Wii for naught, but the gold CCP that it came with is much cooler than a plain old black one.

And a very cool list of fun things to know about XenoBlade Chronicles.

I didnt buy Xenoblade Chronicles (i did get the controller though!) but i did get The Last Story Limited Edition - the most beautifully packaged Nintendo release ever - and i've pre-ordered Pandora's Tower Limited Edition as well. I reckon they will both be highly sought-after collectibles in a decade or two.

I just got a little excited. An announcement has finally been made about Pandora's Tower. It is coming to the US! I still need to get around to playing XenoBlade Chronicles and The Last Story, but at least I'm ensured many, many hours of Wii RPG goodness.
