Please help me identify this unknown action figure. Made by Toy Biz in 2001 and it has a Marvel copyright notice so im guessing its a Marvel villain.

I know it's not but it reminds me of the Nazgul from Lord Of The Rings. (sorry MK, I know that doesn't help you much :-8 )

I think that may be exactly what this is. I know that Toy Biz had a set of LOTR figures released back in 2001 after doing an ebay search.

Like this one:

well, i did buy it because it reminded me of the LOTR Ringwraiths, faceless and shrouded. I havent got the accessories but the sword and dagger sheaths look very LOTR-ish.

bingo! that must be the one (or from the same line of figures). i dont understand the Marvel Inc. stamped on his foot but perhaps they had the license to produce these action figures, i dunno.
Aha! now i notice there's another stamp that says NLP Inc. NLP = New Line Productions, Peter Jackson's production company.

yes, this is it... damn! what a shame people always loose the accessories... i'd love to have those weapons!

The Ringwraith comes with a long sword and a shorter Morgul blade, and has sheathes for both. Press a button on this back, and he plunges the sword in his right hand forward. Additionally, the blade of the Morgul retracts, to simulate stabbing his prey. It's a well-designed and implemented action feature like this that really sets a figure above the rest; despite having to design around the action, the look and pose of the figure are not compromised, highlighting the work ToyBiz put into this line. Standing 6 3/4" tall, and with 12 points of articulation, the Ringwraith is a terrifically evil character, but a great addition to your collection and one of my favorite figures of the year.
