Its hard, but if you look closely, you can see that the bottom is black. You cant tell its black, but its not a shiny color like gold. And its clearly not any of the colored ones... so we can conclude the whole thing is original

Has anyone been able to confirm how many of these actually exist? Ive heard rumors of 12. But they are called "rumors" for a reason.

I cant see there being more than 50. Since it was given away as a prize to winners of the starfox tournament it has to be really limited. The tournament probably lasted 1 day, and i cant see there being a bunch of winners. Ive spoken with a guy who actually won the tournament and he got 4 of them. So did every winner get 4?

If the rumor of only 12 existing was true, and each winner got 4, then that would mean only 3 winners. (im such a math wizz i know 8) )

so I agree with Cory in that there are probably somewhere around 50 that was ever created.

If your going to agree with me, the least you could do is spell my name right -_-

I mean i do include it at the end of each post, like so...

Its too bad none of us know anyone that worked for nintendo back then.

Would contacting nintendo and asking get us any results?

wow, really man? can anyone else have their own moment for something!? like cmon.

but just so you, as well as everyone else knows, im no longer getting the controller.. sean got "robbed at gunpoint" today and he just so happened to have the controller in his backpack. now idk if this really happened or someone made a higher offer and he couldnt be honest but hey "s*** happens" right?

So big loss for me, but to be honest, i had second thoughts the entire time as if i wanted to invest that much money into 1 single item...

Seriously man? tho it may be a coincidence, its not amusing at all. Unfortunately i had paid for it, but it was thru paypal which is 100% insured. We discussed it like mature adults and worked out a plan.

The controller was a pretty penny yes, but i can assure you it was less than what yours cost, and the entire controller was original... The only reason i dropped that kind of money was because of tax returns. I always spend that extra money on random stuff. And i looked at it like an investment, as i knew i could sell it for a prophit anyday.

Tho it does suck to not be on the list anymore, i am kinda relieved a little bit. That much money on 1 item is absolutly absurd. I let the collection mania just blow right over me. you know, that "gotta have it" feeling.

Thanks man, im sure it will work out in the end. I sent it as a payment so its highly doubtful paypal wont rule in my favor. But it may not even get to the point of opening a case.

Also, i wasnt "snooping", i was your competition.
