Using the "Cover Project" site: http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=532

Is it possible for the print out's to slip easily into the case? So they hold in there well?

Ok thanks. But will these things hold a custom cover on the inside regardless of how I print it out? I've seen manuals placed on the front so there must be some plastic tabs holding it against the box. Idk, I'm gonna have to just get them it looks like, lol.

Hi TNT--I've printed out about 50 universal case covers from the Cover Project's awesome site.

As you may have realized, the Universal game cases have a clear plastic sleeve on the outside of the case, just like your standard DVD case. The Cover Art printouts are 11.22" x 7.0" and, after trimming, the whote off the legal size paper, slide right in and look amazing.

The Nintendo brand cases do NOT have the clear plastic sleeve on the exterior. You are correct that the N-brand cases hold manuals. I have one. . . . can't remember if there are plastic clips in the inside of the front cover to accomplish this. (BTW, the UGC lack these clips unfortunately).

You might be able to print out a cover from the Cover Art project, then trim it so you are left with the front cover and spine art, which you would insert in the N-brand cases. If there are plasitc clips holding the manual, they may interfere. Depending on what program you use toprint out the covers (MS Paint, Acrobat or more advanced programs), you can probably resize to your needs if the default 11.22x 7.0" dimensions are slightly off.

Bottom Line: Like you said, wait for your cases to arrive before burning the time, money and ink on any cover art. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey another question, so these cases are official by Nintendo? When I was a kid I used to rent the games in these boxes from Blockbuster all the time.
Were they a exclusive renting case to the Blockbuster chain only, like Sculptor's Cut?

And thanks for the advice, I'll see if I can trim the cover art scans down. If not I'll put the game manual against the front, I remember there being plastic clips for something, pretty sure they were for a front label.

no, Nintendo doesnt make boxes. They are "officially licensed" but that only means the manufacturer pays a fee so they are allowed to use the official logo's etc.
