Mega Man 64 new and sealed, buy it now for 25 bucks! I decided to grab it despite there being the dreaded "stock photo".

Is this a known scam on eBay? Do they give you like a sealed rental case or something?! Seems to good to be true. Please look at the listing and tell me if it could be a fraud. I really hope it's not a waste of 25 dollars, and I receive a legitimate manual and cardboard box! Scared, lol.

Seems pretty legit when you read the bottom part. It says it's in its original seal and contains the game, box, and manual.

I always tend to avoid the listings on eBay that uses stock photos, for the same reasons that all you guys are worried - that you might get scammed.

However, another thing to pay attention to is also the seller themselves. This person in particular is a big store, with 128,000+ feedback at 99.3% rating. That means you should be able to trust them, and you'll probably get what you bought (which was a good deal for Mega Man 64, sealed condition). Lastly, you have to read the description carefully - it says "brand new in retail packaging" so we can probably assume it is in plastic shrink wrap around the box itself.

So in summary, you probably got a good deal and can feel safe with this seller. At the very least, since they are a power seller, they will be happy to refund your money in case you receive it and it's the wrong game or not in the condition they described it. So relax, you're safe (with this purchase) :yeah:

I'm sure you can find another sealed copy of MML for less than that. I got a sealed copy last year for $15.

Just ask the seller for actual pictures of the box. They usually will do that.

Well hey they got back to me today:
"The copies of Mega Man 64 we have for sale are brand new, boxed, and in mint condition. We ship these items out in cardboard boxes packaged to ensure they arrive to you in the same state."
So that's good, I'll be looking forward to that this week. All I have to say is, college math classes are ass! :(
They're the reason I might start drinking heavily, ugh what a pain. Like working more.
My N64 collection puts a smile on my face though, so many memories of being happy. I need that again! ha
I'll play some yoshi's story, it's impossible to frown while playing yoshi's story!!!
