So I ordered a NIB N64 game and all it said was something like "Brand new shrink wrapped". I figured it couldnt be to bad so I ordered. After 2 weeks I finally got it but it was crushed really bad, tear in the shrink wrap, sticky residue on the face and a giant sticker on the back. 1. she should should have put that in the description and 2. she shouldnt have put this: This is what I sent then what she sent back. Hi I ordered a brand new game from you and the box looks like its been stepped on a few times. Im not happy with the item and would like a refund. Thank you, John _ With all due respect sir you could be right, how ever I don't step on games, and I'm sure you don't either. Yet we both depend on the postal service to deliver the product the buyer buys, and the seller sells in the best condition possible however we both know thats not always the case. How often do you get your mail out of the box, and it's appears to have been just rammed in there. magazines torn, and if or when that happens, do you contact Time, or US news & world report and demand a new copy, no, no one does. However here at Amazon.com, the way it's set up the buyer can blame the seller for any & everything. I would like to Insure every item I ship however I can't afford that, and Amazon.com provides no means for you to insure your items either. I'm not Toys R Us or Best Buy. Just a woman trying to earn a little extra for my family and too often because some hack working for the postal service and could careless whats in your envelope, stacks boxes on top, and then you email me as if I was there when he done it, and allowed it to happen. if you wish to return the game by all means please do so, I know how this works, it has happened so before. If I don't accept, you will submit a claim, and a negative feedback which would seriously affect my account. Just to let you know, I have no idea what game you are refering to, because you did not mention it by name, or by the order number. The return address is on the envelope. My family & myself thank you for your order, and for considering the items we have on Amazon.com Ok now every time i've had a problem with something the sellers are awesome and do a refund and send a prepaid mailer to bring it back. She obviously doesnt want to do this. IMHO it looks like this was flat before she shipped it because for the most part USPS is good with their packages. So now I get to try and figure out how to get my money back (funnnnn). And apparently from what she put she wants me to return it at my cost so im a little irked. Ok now to the pics. Thanks for letting me vent :D. ![]() ![]() ![]()

i dunno, kinda hard to see precisely from these pix but those creases look rather old like the box was crushed before it was shipped. but who can tell? did you get to see any pictures before you ordered / bid for the item? if you got it cheap, i would just let it slide and learn a valuable lesson (buyer beware!). perhaps sell it off to someone else who doesnt care about condition as much But if it was expensive, try to get a refund. Most importantly: dont let it get you down too much. it's just stuff, not really important. If you do a lot of online buying, you will inevitably encounter flakes, cheats and losers. 99% of the people are OK though so dont let the few bad apples spoil it for you. By the repeated sarcastic remarks and patronizing tone, I'm gonna go ahead and make an educated guess that this woman probably doesn't like her life situation at the moment, and she's taking it all out on you by being a total condescending b***h. Sorry for language gentlemen, but this really makes me angry, how frustrating.. If I were you I would try and drag this seller through Amazon services to get back every penny you spent. What a shame, sorry you had to experience this, we all feel your pain.. Yikes, lol. This is why I no longer deal with amazon as much, their system is easier for con's to get a couple extra bucks and be just smug about it. With eBay it's easier to pin these suckers down and give them the boot. She knew it was smashed, and unfortunately while she didn't lie about the product and just pleaded ignorance, I don't believe you'll get her to pay for the shipping. Live and learn man, gotta check for pictures its the only way to be fully satisfied. I rather spend some extra cash then end up dealing with people like this. Our condolences again it happens to everybody. |

i'd like to mention that the "giant sticker" comes on all copies of that particular game, it is a security seal so that people didn't walk out the door with it without paying. THE MORE YOU KNOW!

yes, if you look closely you can see pattern of circuit lines that will act as a transmitter when you pass the security gate unless it is deactivated. pretty clever and cheap bit of modern techology ![]() |

this crushed box was probably done a very long time ago and not be her by any means. when n64 games were thrown away, they were placed in bins like walmart is doing with the 360/ps3/wii but those are hard plastic cases, not cheap cardboard that get crushed by looking at it. so all in all, bit the dust, keep it, and next time learn from your error. ask photos ! |

Unfortunately you cant really get pics with amazon so you're kinda screwed there. I only paid $10 which still sucks cause I coulda bought something else with it but right now I dont want to go with the hassle of dealing with this joker. And trust me I wont let it get me down cause I just got my first paycheck at my new job and it brightened my day lol. But I think i'm gonna be switching most of my stuff to ebay as I can see pictures of the actual item. TNT- yea thats what I was thinking and unfortunately she has to try and bring her life into the wrong situation. I sent her another email and she just sent me another pointless email so im not gonna waste any more time on it. Good catch on the sticker guys i've never seen one on a N64 game so I didnt put it together in my head lol. Cabanon - thats prob what happened but she still could have typed "box is slightly crushed" in her description (I know its more then slightly crushed but you get my point lol). O well i'm hopin to get a new game soon so we'll see (I missed out on a good one today tho .

Another thing to remember when dealing with online auctions is that not everyone is as euhh... *n*l-retentive about condition as we are. Amateur sellers and those who do not deal with games on a regular basis in particular. Their descriptions often leave a lot to be desired. Amazon tends to have more of those amateurs than eBay in my personal observation. |

Amazon is close to useless to me as a collector as I live in Australia and the games I want they don't allow international shipping. |
