GTA III: Anniversary Items

Hey guys, just want to share some cool stuff I've gotten in the mail over the past few weeks. The good people from Rockstar Games decided to throw a celebration for the tenth anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III, and released some special items over at their event in the 2011 New York Comic Con. Fans liked what they had up for raffle so much, that they decided to produce more items and sell 'em off their website. I bought two things, a coffee mug with a pair of brass knuckles attached for the handle, and also a lithograph poster of "Cluade Speed" the main protagonist of GTA II + III. Both items have accents of 18k gold, and the lithograph is one out of only 500 that will be made. What a great surprise and in a typical GTA fashion, I managed to get number 69 out of 500! :D Awesome. That'll blend in nicely with my promo "hooker-beating" bat and storefront poster.. Sweeet. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and you should definitely give it a play sometime in your life, very cheap and ya can get it on either xbox or ps2.

Also for the upcoming return to Los Santos in GTA V, here's my promo San Andreas stuff. The jacket has the Rockstar games logo stitched into the cuff links, and on the shirt the logo is also on the back.

The two items in the first picture you can order from Rockstar Games here:

The other things are promotional items so ya gotta look on eBay every once in a while, all depends on your luck and budget. Pretty cool I still wish they sold GTA replica weapons off their site though, lol.

I've gotta get that game.

I got to play them a bit back in the day when I stayed somewhere else but I never had a memory card.

I believe the Xbox versions are... I think Xbox Live actually put San Andreas on sale last christmas for 400 Microsoft Points for a direct download thing. If you don't mind PC version's Steam also has sales on the GTA Complete Pack (GTA 1 - GTA V: EFLC) quite a while, A few weeks ago they sold them all for $12/£5

N64 collection completed 7/29/12
The Xbox versions have custom soundtracks, enhanced control styles (drive and shoot with the triggers), and reflections on the cars. The original PS2 release of Vice City had these extras that were taken out of re-releases of the PS2 version, as well as all of the ports on the Xbox, PC, and Mac:

-Smoke grenade by the police station
-The line, "kill all the Haitians" during a mission for the Cubans
-The song Running in the Night by Lionel Richie on Flash FM
-The glitches where you can walk through walls and see the interiors shown during cutscenes
-Fatal glitch that deletes your save game if you save while on a motorcycle
-Fatal glitch that deletes your save game if you save in Slot 1
-The glitch when you get 100% completion and unlock Infinite Ammo, then go to 8-Ball's Bomb Shop and get stuck with the detonator forever.

The PC version has a ton of support for mods, including Multi Theft Auto, where you can play all three of the GTA games online. Also the mouse and keyboard controls make the game feel like a dual analog stick game if it were on the consoles. That's why the rumor of Rockstar porting the PC version to present consoles seems more likely than them porting past console versions.

PC also has custom soundtrack support by the way, Also custom soundtrack's aren't available when playing them on Xbox 360 through backwards compatablity.

I never even knew there was a rerelease of Vice City to be honest. Thanks for that info.

I believe its a issue with how the Xbox 360 does backwards compatablilty (It's basically an emulator), Sucks. There may be a way around it but I'm not aware of it.

Turns out I cant even play original Xbox games without an Xbox hard drive or something.
I saw San Andreas for 15 bucks on PS2 the other day.
But the PS2 is noisy after 20 mins of play.
Maybe still worth it though.
