I was at the Cleveland museum of art a few months ago and in their photography hall was this image. It doesn't have a title, but I'm guessing the artist wanted to communicate the death of 90's culture in america through VHS tapes, which also died in the 90's, because their video quality sucked.. lol. The picture blends into the wall behind it, which creates a sort of 3D effect on the wall, giving the illusion that shelves are actually there. So missing the artful concept of the image to reveal provoking thoughts, I just looked at the VHS tapes on the shelf to see if I recognized anything. ha. All the tapes are mostly work out videos and failed daytime cartoon series from the 90's, but I saw one item that caught my eye:
