Bought this purely for the image: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130635899577?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_10010wt_2562 I love how the standee says, "The Shape of Gaming" for the N64 controller, seeing as how the design was bashed then, and still is bashed now for it's weird spaceship look. Anybody ever read one of these magazines or see one in stores? 90's video game industry this group reported at trade shows, and from I have seen was purchased mostly by people who worked on the inside. "The leading trade publication for it's time in the North American video game market". At least while it lasted, lol. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GameWeek_Magazine Since I bought the stand I picked up this issue too, it's so 90's it blows my mind: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oct-1997-VideoGame-Advisor-Gaming-Industry-Trade-Magazine-/280766224205?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415ef8974d#ht_2093wt_1270 As seen by the second pic there's a story on the N64's upcoming game lineup and sales so far, pretty cool. Anyway some nice history to keep with the collection. |

I love old magazines and stuff. I read a 1998 computer tech magazine at school a few weeks ago. It mainly talked about the newest cell phones and computer technology at that time, boasting about things that are now considered a joke in the computing world....its crazy how fast these kinds of things change. I totally love reading old gaming mags. I have a large collection of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine from the late 90s, as well as PSM and GamePro mags from the same time period. I've been reading them a lot lately reliving the glory days of gaming. To me, nothing competes with the 90s.
