Aha! I forgot Track and Field 2000! Ha ha! That game is so LAME!

EDIT: For pics of my collection, click here!
They're not very good quality pics though. My collection is probably the reason I can't afford a decent digital camera.

Just won a game off ebay: Stunt Racer 64.

I rented that game back in the day, and from what little I remember, it's certainly average. It's got a very weird theme to it, and despite it's title, there are very few stunts you can perform. I wouldn't be expecting the same quality as World Driver Championship, if I were you.

Oh, and now that game's gonna be harder for ME to find, now that there's one less copy in the US! Thanks a lot!

I picked up a boxed copy for $10, and a loose copy for $5 shipped.

Lucky you. The only one I've saw on eBay was $42! And that was cart only! What a gyp!

Anyways, just recieved Toy Story 2 from eBay. The game, not the movie.

Yeah, it's in decent shape. One of the corners of the box was crushed during shipping, but other than that, it's fine. The cartridge has some dirt on it, but nothing I don't think a little rubbing alcohol won't fix.

I haven't played it yet, but I will. Just for you. :)

Nope, they didn't even use a padded envelope! It came wrapped in a brown bag that was taped like crazy.

As for how it plays: Like any N64 platformer that isn't Super Mario 64, the game suffers from a very poor framerate. This wouldn't be so bad if it was consistently sluggish, but the random dips make jumping difficult. The game has all the standard platformer basics: jump, shoot attack, spin attack, collect everything, and more! Maybe things would change down the line, but I don't think I'll play that far.

Thank you, thank you.

I don't know anything about MK Mythologies. I just assumed it was a pure fighting game because it has the Mortal Kombat name. If it's fighting-adventure, then I'll probably give it a try sometime.

Great collections, both of you! Doesn't spreading out your collection on the floor just give you a nice worm feeling? And you've just used the bathroom, so you know it's a feeling of pride.
Some of those PAL and Japan labels look so much better than the US labels, especially Body Harvest and Wipeout. And I see carts like Rocket and 007: TWINE are colored gray, instead of red and blue and all of the crappy colored carts in the US. They've always bothered me, because I'd rather the carts all be the same color.

Just got a few cheap 'n crappy sports games from a game store:

The strange thing is, Fox Sports College Hoops isn't what's on the label; it's actually Bomberman 64!

Yeah, but why would someone do that? Isn't Bomberman 64 worth more than that Fox Sports game? Now they're both absolutely worthless. I'm now afraid of buying a copy of Bomberman 64, because it may turn out to be Fox Sports College Hoops.

Hm, let's see... I think I have... 79 to go. Or 78? 80? Damn it, I gotta go count again.

Yeah, that's true, I could swap cases. I need to think more before I start worrying.
Uh oh... I just thought of a scam that I hope nobody pulls on me. What if someone takes a copy of an expensive game like Ogre Battle and puts Madden Football 64 in it? I'd certainly be maddened if I spent $50 on what looked like Ogre Battle and found out when I went to play it that it's actually some crappy football game. :o
Now I'm really, really worried about buying those expensive games. I should invest in a shotgun to deal with these scammers.

I went back to that same store yesterday to get a few more titles I saw:

Posted Image

I don't think I'm gonna go back there again though, because I got another game that isn't what the label says. WCW Mayhem is actually Battlezone!

As a game player, I don't care about this. I don't care about if it comes with a box, and I really don't care about cosmetic condition, I only care that the game works. But as a game collector, which I am now more than ever, I've experienced a whole new level of paranoia. What if there's a sticker on it? What if the manual's missing a page? I can't see the rear label in the picture; what if it's missing? Does the save feature still work? And now, one more has been added to the mix: What if it isn't the game on the label? For the love of all that is good 'n clean, why can't people just take care of their stuff?! It's NOT that hard!

I once bought World Driver Championship in a picture-less auction on eBay. I received only the chip of the game, and not the plastic cartridge. DAMN YOU EBAY!

...So yeah, put me down for collector's paranoia. But remember: just because you aren't paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Gotta read the auctions without photos VERY carefully.

All it said was "LIKE NEW!!!" I used the Paypal protection program to get my money back. I kept the chip because hey, it works. Gotta be careful with it though.

I've gotten some very good deals from badly advertised auctions, but there are definitely risks involved. I'd say I've scored more than I've been screwed though. If someone has a decent amount of feedback that's 100% positive, a picture-less auction usually works out. But if it's moderately expensive or more, then I won't even bother.

And I just don't like to deal with returns and disputes, that's why I care so much that the item's what I want. Good customer service is hard to come by these days; it's such a hassle dealing with these people. You ask if you can speak to the manager and they look at you as if you've just asked for their kidney. Even so, I always return non-working games, no matter what they cost, because we can't let these game stores get away with selling us broken merchandise. We can't give them the power. We can't let them control us. We can't...
...There I go again...

Anyways, in the case of those two games I bought: They were both still games I didn't own, and they only cost me a total of $2.70. I don't feel like going back there for such a small amount. I'm not going to count them on my list of games I own though.

So, that controller looks like the official one without the Nintendo name. If it has a metal stick, it may just be better than Nintendo's. Unless the buttons are no good, which doesn't seem like a hard thing to get right, but many 3rd-party controllers fail at it anyway.

So those are the crappy games that nobody wants where you live alxbly? Talk about cultural differences. Here in America, I shift through endless copies of Madden Football and NFL Quarterback Club, and there's usually some Basketball games too. Sometimes copies of Super Mario Bros. for NES pop up in there as well.

Anyways, got a few more games:

Are you really trying to get all the N64 games in existence?

Not quite. Every game that saw a US release. I've thought about expanding that goal to every game ever released in every country, but that would require a load of patience and money, which I seem to be short on these days. :(

F1 World Grand Prix seems to be another very common game that has no value at all... shame, cos it's a good game.

I feel the same way about Perfect Dark. Every time I see a sealed copy with a Buy-It-Now price of a penny on eBay, I cry a little inside...

You are correct, it is Carmageddon. Before that it was 10-Yard Fight for NES. But at least 10YF had somewhat of an excuse as it was the first football game for NES; there's no excuse for the abysmal Superman 64 and Carmageddon.

Nice find there alxbly! I think you should hold onto it, at least for now. Wait until after the next generation arrives, and see how they affect the value of Nintendo 64 consoles. I'm predicting they'll be more valuable, but you just never know. Try selling it next year around Christmas time -- Wait, do you celebrate Christmas? Well, around whatever time is the buying season where you live... Forgive me for my ignorance of other countries. Hell, I know very little about my own!

And Raqueda: Go for it! Hexen is worth $5, although I agree that the graphics don't hold up well. But somehow I doubt any of us play the N64 just for the graphics. <_<

And finally, new additions for me!
