Bought a factory-sealed Starfox, the large box with the rumble pack for...$25, sold it for

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...10324&rd=1&rd=1

for a profit of $31.

Bought a factory-sealed Yoshi's Story for $20, sold it for

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180133350749

for a profit of $47

:)

I already had those two games sealed, so I could afford to make some money. Never underestimate the tactic of saying "I will give you $20 paypal if you end the auction right now." to someone who doesn't know the game's worth. :P

As for buying games to keep...

Banjo kazooie for $75

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=150133223385

and ogre battle for $100

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=160122360376

and original turok for $50

ambientFLIER, congrats on getting Ogre Battle 64.  Looking at the prices of used copies, $100 for a sealed copy doesn't seem bad at all.

Thanks, but I HAVE found other copies for about $75 since...oh well. My next purchase is going to be Super Mario 64 sealed and Extreme G, also sealed.

I am also trying to decide what which N64 is rarer, the Episode I racer bundle like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/NINTENDO-64-STAR-WARS-...1QQcmdZViewItem

or the smoke colored one like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...44506&rd=1&rd=1

What do you guys think?

I'm searching for a Pikachu one, but sealed, here all I can find is used ones...

=/

Ebay's got two, if you've got $217

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-64-Pikachu-Sy...VQQcmdZViewItem

...unless you need a pal version or something...

I was kinda thinking about that one too, but I didn't want to throw up while looking at it and wouldn't want to show it to anyone, so that would be pointless to buy one...

Neither bundle is particularly rare, both can be found without having to search for long. If I was you I would go for the smoke bundle; it's an attractive color and it looks quite classy. The Star Wars Racer bundle is just a standard N64 packaged with Star Wars Racer... it says limited edition on the box but apart from that there's nothing special about it. This is it here, in between my other N64's:

What? Smoke consoles aren't super rare? LIES!!!

This guy knows the real deal...

Seriously though, I think I've decided what I want. I want one of those watermelon colored DK64 bundles, which come with the green console, the game, and and expansion pack. Oh, and cool box graphics. I just saw one sell, but stupidly didn't bid :(

Okay, this one is new, and it's MUCH less than $240!!!

The only downside is that it's not sealed, and you'd need to do the US/JPN mod to play US games on it (that or use a gameshark, etc, etc, check this topic for more info.

That's waaaaaayyyy overpriced, even for a new N64. A quick search on ebay bring up four consoles for sale. So it's rare-ish, but still easily available. There's loads of the Star Wars Racer editions.

As for the Donkey Kong Jungle Green console... well, I've sent you a PM! :)

I appreciate the link, but I NEED a new/sealed one. I can't downgrade my collection with any of that "used" stuff :P

Oh, I didn't realize you wanted a new console. I know how you feel; I bought two new N64s and I opened both of them! Personally, I get far more pleasure from using an item than just storing it. :o

And for some reason, opening and being able to use my stuff makes it feel like it's truly mine!!! ;)

I already have a console and games to use, so I don't see why I need to have two of them. Basically, my goal is to be able to open them in 50 years and play some brand new Mario 64. While the rest of population has some kind of virtual reality mind games or whatever they will have with 5 dimensions, I will be running around in 320x240 and doing backflips onto goombas.

So... you're going to open all of your stuff years down the road? Interesting...

Yeah, on my dying day...everybody in the funeral home is going to be playing SSB
