Well here is the majority of my collection. The N64 was the very first system I bought with my own money. I saved my allowance forever and got it when I was around 10. Unfortunately I never had much money to buy anything else with it, only a few games. It got lost along the line of growing up and I just recently decided to have it replaced. I've done quite a bit more than just replace, as I have tons more things now than I ever had when it was popular.

I also have quite a few of the original systems, try modding and just messing around with them. I have the DK64 set complete in the box. It is the Jungle Green System. Also have the Watermelon system.

I have the 12 and 24 black cases that hold games. I have rumble paks and memory cards. Original rumble pak and controller pak boxed. Also have quite a few N64 bags for carrying systems in, I just use them to store everything in.

The controllers I have are: Originals, grey, red, blue (boxed), green, yellow, atomic purple, grape, watermelon, jungle green, ice blue, and DK64. I also have the weird looking Superpad and Makopad. Friday I bought a clear blue and white Hori mini, haven't received it yet.

I've gotten this all fairly recently. I'm obviously still looking for many other things. I really want Paper Mario and the Mario Parties. I'm also really wanting the gold Power 100 controller. I thought I had bought it off ebay. It was described as such and when I received it, it was just a plain gold. I was highly upset. Anyway, let me know what you think of my collection. I know I don't have many must have things, but I like how it is going. Also if you have doubles or whatever of stuff I don't have, I'd be very interested. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the length of this post!

Oh one last thing: How do you post pictures in message? Thanks, take care.

I hope this works. I'm trying to see if I figured out this adding pictures in a post thing. If I violate rules on size or anything please let me know. Just testing things out. Anyway these are some pictures of my things. Basically everything except the games and doubles of things (original consoles, controllers, etc.). Please remember I'm fairly new to collecting so nothing too impressive here.

My consoles:

Pokemon is not my thing, but I got a great deal on that console.

Waiting for my Hori mini pad and Makopad to come in the mail.

My Cases:

My lonely lousy modification in a system that no longer has video, only audio. Oh and it can play Japanese games, well the audio of Japanese games.

That sounds very questionable to me. I personally wouldn't do it. I only ever buy from the likes of ebay or amazon or in person. A lot of people do business through forums and stuff, but I believe most people use Paypal, so there is evidence of the transaction. I don't have experience with buying on forums, but I would only do it with paypal and I definitely would not send a check. I find lots of good deals on craigslist. You should easily be able to get a system and a game or 2 for about $30.

Well I just got another DK64 controller.... I'm not sure why. Oh well, I've got 2 of them now. Still hunting for NP100 and Millennium 2000.

Thanks for the comments on my collection. It's coming along slowly, well kind of quickly, only been at it for about 3 months.

Anyway, what do you all think about the "Player's Choice Million Seller" copies of games? Do you not care, or try to avoid them, or are the non player's choice versions worth more or no difference? I usually just get what I come across. Some are Player's Choice and some aren't. I think the ones without the big Player's Choice logo look better though.

Probably just irrelevant details, but just curious.

I need some advice on collecting N64 games. I'm fairly new to collecting but jumped in to it a little fast and have quite a large collection for the amount of time I've been doing it. I would love to collect complete in box for all my games, but I'm having a hard time deciding if it is worth it.

When I first started, I decided I would only buy CIB of the major games I wanted, or of games I found really cheap. That is basically what I've done up until now. If I found a cartridge only for a great deal I would buy it. So now I have roughly 120 games, and probably only around 25-30% of them are CIB.

I've thought about buying those clear cases that you cant print labels for and using those for less important games, but I don't know. The allure of a CIB collection is very great.

It seems most people here don't go the CIB route, so for those people would you please say why you chose that method. Also the same for anyone who went CIB.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alxbly and Lord Suprachris for the comments. I think, for now, I'm going to continue just get CIB of the important stuff (anything with Mario on it) and games I get for cheap. I'll get only cartridge if it's a really good deal.

I got something I have been trying to get since day 1 of my collecting days today. This is my favorite N64 console and I am extremely happy about it. Today was a great day.

Nintendo 64:

Also here is a picture of some newer things I've gotten. I mentioned getting them here, but never showed a picture. Also a couple things I never mentioned.

Posted Image

Mario Tennis is the first Japanese version of a game I've gotten. Batman Beyond sealed in the picture, but I imagine I'll have it opened very soon. Rayman and Gauntlet Legends are the 2 cartridges if it was hard to see. Also that is the Ice system not the clear blue, unfortunately.

Couldn't resist sharing my happiness about the red system.

I love that clear blue version you got alxbly. I love the box with Mario on it. That is definitely the version I would love to have. I also want a PAL system, just for collecting purposes, and getting a pal system that is clear blue would be like killing two birds with one stone. Plus it has Mario on it!

Alxbly, what is that black thing on the wire of your gray controller? I've never seen that.

@ Super Smash Bros. Fan: I also highly recommend just buying a system at a second hand shop, or from someone nearby on Craigslist. All the secondhand gaming stores around here sell the system with a controller for $25 or $30. If you buy on Craigslist you can usually get an even better deal.

Mainly writing this post because I added a signature and would like to see it, but also have some new games. Thanks for supplying the 64 signatures.

I got Mario Party Complete in Box. Well kind of, it was missing the tray that holds the cartridge so I had to steal one from a sports game. Almost all of my sports games are now missing their trays. Anyone know where I can get some?

This was basically the first time I ever played any of the Mario Party games. I played once a long time ago on the Gamecube but don't much remember it. I made sure to use the superpad and makopad while playing. My gf loved the game and I thought it was fun.

Also got Snowboard Kids 2 CIB.

Hopefully sometime this week I will receive another system I just bought. I'm pretty excited about this one. Probably in my top 5 favorite 64 console editions.

EDIT::: This is my 64th post! Very cool.

Yeah the N64 definitely had this dancing game, and I must say it is pretty fun. It was Japan only release, so it is kind of hard to use. But I've managed to blindly navigate my way through it. I'm trying to work on having most of menus translated. The songs, according to wikipedia are:

Song Title
Mickey Mouse March
It's a Small World
Mickey Motion
Jiwaku No Tango
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Savanna No Mukou
Disco Magic
Russian Dance
Irish River
Morty & Ferdy's Carnival
Mickey Fever
Para-Para Venus
Go Go Go
Goofy's Rock 'n' Roll Show
Turkey In The Straw
Taiyo No Rakuen
Waltz Of The Flowers
Electrical Parade
Chip 'n' Dale's Vacation
Minnie's Yoo Hoo!
The Tiki Tiki Tiki Room

The songs are in English on the game, but I was too lazy to put the game in and check them all. It works great though. You can find it on Ebay usually. Around $100 usd, give or take $20.

I only played the game once for about 45 minutes and I definitely didn't play every song. So I can't guarantee anything, but I do believe the songs had some kind of pop sound to them, or were sped up. I have never heard most of the songs so I don't know what they originally sounded like. But I don't remember playing and being like "uhh... dance to this?" It all seemed to fit.

On a completely unrelated note.... I got Super Mario 64, the shindou (rumble) version today. Extremely awesome!

Applepieman Today, 6:35 AM I've always been curious on the Rumble feature in the Japanese second release of Super Mario 64, opinions on if it "rumbles" enough from getting hit/fall from a great height/etc

I've only completed Bob-Omb Battlefield with it, but from my experience with the rumble on that part of the game, it rumbles pretty significantly. Especially when launching out of a canon, the rumble is non-stop, even when flying through the air. I don't have the wing cap, so I don't know if it rumbles while flying.

So I posted earlier this week that I would be getting a new system. It finally came. Here it is.

I was extremely happy with the condition of this thing. It is perfect! The system looks even better in person.

I also had heard conflicting reports of whether or not the black on it was see-thru. It most certainly is. The black is very dark, but there is no mistaking it being clear.

Here are some very poor pics of the ASCII Wheel 64. I've got access to a better camera, just been lazy.

And lastly, a picture of a few random things I mentioned getting but never took pictures of.

My super small N64 collection... took me 2 years to even acquire this small collection. :-/
Maybe I should spend less money on camera equipment and spend more on expanding my collection. :P

Posted Image
It may be a smaller collection, wouldn't call it small, but it is a great one! I like it. You have Mario so that is really all you need :). I've been wanting one of those Japanese Mario Kart games with the controller with it for quite awhile. Jealous...

Out of curiosity, the Doctor V64 doesn't work with the Pokemon 64 does it? You'd have to cut the bottom of it to get to the extension port correct? And then I'm not even sure it would fit? Or do you also have a normal 64? Sorry for the questions, just curious! Thanks.

@lithium017: Welcome to the board! I seen pics of your collection on another thread and very nice! I would definitely be interested in buying your NP100 controller but about a week ago I decided my collecting days had to end :(. I'm sort of depressed about it actually. Anyway this is a great place to be and welcome! I believe I have actually looked at your youtube videos in the past..

As far as the Daiei Hawks system goes, it was just a lucky find :D It looks even better when it is right in front of you.

I plan on getting rid of atleast 80% of my collection for anyone that may be interested. Anything you've seen me post or talk about you can offer if you want it. Including the Daiei Hawks system. I really don't want to do it.....but....I have to....

:( It really sucks just thinking about getting rid of this stuff. Actually doing it is so much worse! I've sold a few things already, nothing too great yet though. So I haven't felt awful about it yet.

Mainly people have been buying my crappy games (I guess because of the prices). Anyway I will be keeping everything that is essential...Plus quite a few not exactly essential controllers! ;)

Nice collection Alice Lawless and welcome to the board!

Thanks floorcat! It is great, but it deserves a more devoted collector! If the deal with whoever it is :P that I am holding if for falls through, I'll be sure to let you know.

As far as selling off most of my collection goes, I would say it is going pretty well. Things are selling pretty quickly, and a lot of it for around what I paid for it so that is good. I actually am getting pretty close to having sold everything that I'm not going to keep. I've got the watermelon, ice, and clear red systems still that need to sell. Also the Ascii pad and Disney DDR needs to. That is really all the main things. The rest are just games and random controllers and such.

Later on I'll post the things that I intend to keep. I'd like to hear what you all think are the absolute must haves. I think I'm keeping around 40 games. :D.

I'll keep you all updated. If you want anything PM me.

So most of you know I've been selling off a big chunk of my collection, well here are the things I've decided to keep and not to sell. The only 2 systems I plan on keeping is my original charcoal system and the boxed Donkey Kong 64 Set.

The controllers I plan on keeping are 2 of the 4 Hori pads I had. I sold the green and blue/white hori pads. I am keeping the clear white and the yellow one. Official controllers I'm keeping are: Red, Extreme green, Grey, Atomic Purple, Grape, DK64, Ice, and a boxed Clear Red/White one.

Accessories: 4 extension cables, expansion pak (duh), 4 rumble paks, and 3 controller paks. Also a 24 game storage case, travel bag, and a smaller bag for accessories. Also keeping 1 12 game storage case for my very small SNES collection and Genesis games. Both of these fit in there great!

Here are the games I decided to keep:

Super Mario 64 (CIB)
Super Mario 64 (Shindou CIB)
Mario Kart 64 (CIB)
Mario Gold (CIB)
Mario Party (CIB)
Mario Party 2 (CIB)
Mario Party 3 (cart only)
Super Smash Bros. (cart only)
Dr. Mario 64 (cart only)
South Park (CIB)
South Park Chef's Luv Shack (cart only)
South Park Rally (cart only)
Diddy Kong Racing (CIB)
Perfect Dark (CIB)
Goldeneye (CIB)
Resident Evil 2 (CIB)
Wave Race 64 (CIB)
Banjo Kazooie (CIB)
Banjo Tooie (cart only)
Rocket: Robot on Wheels (CIB)
Turok (cart and manual)
Turok 2 (cart only)
Mortal Kombat 4 (cart and manual)
Killer Instinct Gold (cart only)
F-Zero X (cart only)
NFL Blitz (cart only)
Blitz Special Edition (cart only)
Conker's Bad Fur Day (cart only)
Duke Nukem 64 (cart only)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (grey cart only)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (gold hologram cart only)
Starfox 64 (cart only)
Jet Force Gemini (cart only)
Pilotwings 64 (cart only)
1080 Snowboarding (cart only)
Off-Road Challenge (cart only)
Cruis'n USA (cart only)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (cart only)

I tried to keep a bunch of different styles of games. Also I still need a few games for sure: Paper Mario and Mario Tennis. I had Mario Tennis (and have the Japanese version) but was unsatisfied with the label of the North American version. I plan on having all of the Mario games boxed. So I need boxes for MP3, Dr. Mario, and Super Smash Bros.

Besides Paper Mario and Mario Tennis, I don't know if there will be any other games that need to be added to the collection. Let me know if I'm missing any necessities!!!! And I don't believe all 297? games are necessary Mop!! ;) (I wish I could have them all though!)

Also would like Conkers and both Zelda's boxed.

I did sell Space Station Silicon Valley and regret it.
