I got a good blue third-party rumble paks that doesn't need batteries. Quite convenient.

Unfortunately not. It's simply blue without any text on it. It has got the shape of the original Rumble Pak but without the battery unit. I got it from a bigger lot somewhen on ebay...

@clarky: how did you do that?
Download these templates:

http://www.box.net/shared/pau7pke2e0

http://www.box.net/shared/zjb2sk4ot8

Open them in PhotoShop and print. Cut around the solid lines (not the dotted ones), fold into shape and glue the two parts together. :yeah:
thanks for the link. hm... dunno if that's worth the effort. I personally do have enough of these cardboards, so i would only make them for the games that I'm reselling again. think I won't do that.

So here are two pictures of my collection. It doesn't look that much because of the angle in that I took the photo.
Over the left rack: two consoles
On the top left: my NTSC games (both US and JP) with two SNES games
the next 3 shelves: N64 PAL collection
then my controllers and other peripherials
then my GB / GBC / GBA collection
again one shelf N64 collection
on the bottom Lylat Wars Big Box and four consoles

over the right rack: some collectibles like guides and other stuff (can be seen in the second picture)
almost the whole right rack: n64 games (partly two rows in one shelf)
and on the bottom shelf there's a funtastic orange console, too

Awesome collection Heinrold.

I know this probably isn't the best place to ask, but i want some opinion and not have to make a whole new thread.

There's a console boxed that is at a pretty low price at the moment. However, it does not come with the styrofoam. Should I still try to get it or is it sort of dumb to get without the styrofoam?
thank you.

I think it's a different thing, if the styrofoam of a console is missing comparing to the missing cardboard of a game. Think for yourselg if it's really the box that you want or a complete system!
My opinion to missing cardboards or those typical Nintendo flyer in every game is different, because it is more likely that you will somewhen get a game where you can change them. But it is not very likely that you will get the styrofoam of a console loose.
Don't know if my point became clear, but that's my point of view.

is there any optical difference between normal and shindou wave race? I only know about mario 64.
And are there any other special rumble pak versions?

There are a few minor music and sound effect differences between the standard and Shindou versions of Wave Race 64. Being Japanese it seems very different to me but that may just be my imagination.

As far as I know Wave Race 64 and Super Mario 64 are the only two games to get re-released to include Rumble Pak support although I wish Mario Kart 64 had also gotten a Shindou version. :(
With optical differences I meant the box and/or Cart label ;-) but thanks for the other informations, too :-)

A mario Kart remake would have been really great. But I think, there weren't that many games released before star fox and the rumble pak, so no need for more of the remakes.

4th viewer of the video ;-) looks really nice, all these self made boxes and how they fit in the shelf. my shelves look more empty as my games dont fit exactly in it...

especially mario party 3 and conquer look so great in their extra boxes. how much did you pay for theses boxes?

Indeed it is quite rare, more than uncommon i would say. It is one of the less good Formula 1 games, so this doesn't astonish me. f1 World Grand Prix I and II and Racing Simulation 2 are much better.

is there a possibility to get a complete rarity list on that website, mk? i know about the rarity of almost every game here in germany. anyway, a list would be really nice.

oh goody! i paid only 4 euro for the cartridge

anyhow, i dont think the RetroCollect site offers a list..
however, there is a complete (?) list available at RarityGuide.com.
they're a good starting point but there really should be a site dedicated to N64 rarity research covering ALL regions, not just NTSC.
I've got that Retro Gamer magazine from England, which featured an N64 special one of the last times (Issue 87: http://www.retrogamer.net/back_issues.php ).

Think I'll take a picture or scan that list. It's for PAL and the most games are listed right in my opinion although you can always discuss between adjacent categories.

Yes, it's only games that are region-specific. Controllers, Expansion Paks and so on can be used in any console.

Yes, a seperate US/NTSC list would be a good idea. Also i thought about in second ranking a another column where the price can be rated because often high price and high rarity aren't seen as two things.

i agree with you. in germany, it's quite easy to collect at least 220/239 different european PAL carts in - let's say - 2 or 3 months due to ebay.

there are so few games, that probably won't be popping up in that period of time that you can count them on two hands.
i'd say, in germany the rarest games to get are: San Francisco Rush 2049, Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, NFL Quarterback Club 2000 and CyberTiger (and all the adult titles like RE2, MK, Goldeneye and so on though some of these also can be found on ebay freguently before being deleted again.)
i think, i've never really seen these four mentioned games for auction yet. even starcraft has been for auction like 5 times in two years. ^^

finally i got the time to unpack my huge US lot that i collected over the time. the first picture is the hole lot (with some games for another collector who lives in my town and some probably for re-sale) and in the second picture there are the things that i will keep for my own collection. ^_^ :n64:

thank you. yes, this f-zero x book is really great. unfortunately it is japanese so i can only use the pics by now. makes me want to learn japanese though :D seems like it's the official book and it is really well done from what i can tell about the pics. for example it shows the racing line of every track. it says "speed master manual" and really adds to my f-zero collection :)

you can use this to play JP games on a US console and vice versa. it's no real converter or something like that, more like a bridge. a solution if you don't want to burn down those blockers that avoid to play import games on your console.
