Sounds like PARADISE!

Unfortunately, most of America is hot and humid this time of year. I'm sure you still have air conditioning- especially on an upper level...

But i would like to suggest lining the boxes with ( Big ) Bubble Wrap

I know it doesn't sound practical, but the AIR inside works against "radiant heat".

i used to work for UPS- no matter what was being shipped ( hot- cold- perishable- ORM- ANYTHING ) was packaged with bubble wrap!

Not only to prevent damage, but to resist temprature changes.
A big portion of my stuff is bubble wrapped.

The AIR works as a barrier no matter what the conditions.

Cool piece Italia!

A few things caught my eye about these here:

Fox McCloud looked a little more pronounced in your example, but when compared to the "Clsssic Big Box" - he looks fine.

Do you know what that little yellow rectangle in the Big Box says?

The real change is only in the art layout- which is common, especially if yours is a pre-release display. It looks like to fill in that gap- Nintendo just took the explosion art from behind the Rumble Pak in the lower left corner and used it again. It is still the design we are all familiar with.

Pretty cool indeed!

I was talking about the pic below...

It looks like something drawn from "DragonballZ" - but your guess is as good as mine to what it means.

the sticker translates- "SPANISH FLAVORED" or "FLAVOR OF SPAIN"

It is a nice box indeed! I ask myself:

what kind of wood was used?
does it have a "maker's mark"?
was there more included inside?

Legit or not, it cannot compare to the contents... but get that right hinge repaired anyway. :)

My guess was a synapse response- brought on by the uncontrollable amount of endorphines coarsing through N64KID!

...but it was a BEST BUY exclusive.

With help from italia64, i picked this rare item up the other day. :yeah:
Buck Bumble Shock Pack

Posted Image

The box is made of lesser quality material- and was in bad shape...
But in this case → less = more!

Aside from the box, the Shock Pack is in new, unused condition!
and with my artist hand, was able to bring it new life. A great start to my Rumble Pak collection. Graci!

here is what it looked like before...

:-8 thanks LG,

For the sake of this thread and the calibur of Nintendo 64 items here,- it was worth saving!

What trips me out is the top picture, of my yellow controller...

it ACTUALLY looks like the (head) of a Hornet!!! :w00t:

But i did use a few techniques to restore the 16 yr. old box, and have made some more touch-ups since... it looks better than ever!

But the big one was this:

Did you know that there are 2 different versions?

Also, with the Animal Forest bundle, there is one variant.
One controller pak with 2 different labels that you can apply.

Did anyone know what those Hudson JoyCard controllers do?

For each corresponding game, the controller allows the player to use special power-ups, stats, and bonuses only possible with those controllers!

Jelly indeed.

Some pics of my latest additions...some of you may have seen these on eBay. Anyone know how many different cars there were?
Wow! Sorry i missed this thread lately.

Thanks for checking our MM64TURBO thread. :yeah:
So far, they are all acounted for there. The ones you have are from the 1995/96 toy line.
I say this because there was an overlap of availability into 1996 until the MM series celebrated it's 10th anniversary in 1996 and changed the cars/packaging ever so slightly midway through and into 1997.

In a way, it's kinda like actual cars- when the new year models are available the year before.

Exactly!!
I'm not sure it's possible to explain how profound that little detail really is.

If one hasn't seen it, or can't prove of seeing one after all this time, then what the hell else is still out there!?

@Bdr, that's what i thought at first, but i think it's a Jusco.

Those consoles are a nice way to start a collection Kcleary940!
It depends who you ask, but i would say the Hyundai Comboy set is definately rarer than the Jusco. :yeah:

In my opinion, once you spend more time in this hobby, you'll see that the rarity scales are pretty flimsy and not set in stone.
