I am really confused when it comes to the "Legend of Zelda: OoT Collectors Edition".
Can anyone from Australia confirm if ALL the Ocarina of Time games sold there came in the "Collectors Edition" box and with a gold cartidge?
I Live in Europe, and I had never seen the collectors edition until a few weeks ago. I know that this is probably the typical Zelda "Special edition trap" where the gray cart ends up beeing more rare than the gold one, but as a PAL collector I would still like to know :)

Zaph, all of the Australian released Ocarina of Time boxes are collectors edition, exactly as you pictured. No grey carts here. Im from Australia and it is the only edition we got here. Very puzzling!
Thank you for confirming that!
I have spent a while trying to get someone to confirm it. I even asked /vr/ on 4chan (not much help there :P ) before i found this forum.
I too find it very strange that Nintendo would go trough the effort of making a PAL Collectors Edition box and cart only to sell it as they would with a normal retail :eh:

About me, I look on Ebay, forums and sites EVERY day, also twice a day :-P
Sometimes I'm the first to see the good deal, more often I'm not:-P

PS is your avatar Bale in American Psycho?
Yeah I waited a while to get my hands on a decent copy of CBDF without having to sell my kidney :P

Thanks, I'm going for the most sold/popular games to begin with.

Hehe, the early bird gets the worm ;)

Yes it's Mr. Bateman himself!

So Italia64, how far are you from a what you would consider a complete collection now? No one posts as many "gets" as you do after all :D

Haha is it a polite mode to tell me "stop it"? :-P

However an N64 collection is impossible to complete but I hope to get N64 things as much as possible, especially PAL. Always a money question; constancy, perseverance and passions don't miss ;-)
No no no, thats not what i meant at all! I think we all enjoy beeing a part of your newest finds :D
Was a question of pure curiosity towards your collection :yeah:

Look this wonderful collection of a friend of mine!

Your friend's got a great collection there! :yeah:

One tip to him though, he should compress the images a bit. Takes a while to load all the images when you're not on a Gb/s line.

I really want to get my hands on a :n64: iQue, that thing is so neat looking! Too bad its 100$ on ebay. Might try my luck on the Chinese taobao.com with some agent, might end up paying 30$ for a NIB instead :yeah:
Good for speed running OoT too

if you get it for 30$, lemme know. i'd take one too at this price !
The price is about 15$ on their site, but with local + overseas shipping + the taobao agent fee(usually 5-10% or 30 Yuan minimum) its hard to estimate the total. I'll let you know if I end up doing that. My old folks are in China now, and I told them to pick one up if they saw one

Did you know that there are 2 different versions?

IGN.com
Make sure they don't get the wrong one!
No i did not! I knew about the family pack, and I have seen the swim controllers before, but i assumed they were just black versions of the iQue. Well, I sent my folks a picture of the boxed iQue, but I don't really expect them to come home with anything :D
