i cracked open my ascii racing wheel. Im curious about the up/down switch.![]() ![]() Sort of looks like a mini OEM thumstick. Spring loaded, axis piece, etc. Four wires--orange, brown, yellow, red--run down the neck: ![]() To the Nintendo branded board: ![]() Plugged into the board in the same way an OEM Thumbstick connects: ![]() More board pics: [img]http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae327/bluedogrulez/0e4d5f16.jpg[/ing]

Yeah, all of your A, B, C, shoulder and start buttons are on the wheel. The board is down at the base. Hence the wire party. I should note that an OEM thumbstick has 6 wires; i assume that the switch only has 4 because it does not transmit a L or R signal, but i could be mistaken. |

Thanks for the pics Bluedogrulez. Does the switch in question toggle forward and backwards? |

@ Clarky: Yes. Think of a thumbstick that only moves UP and Down, and returns to center when released. I hope that is clear. |

I think I have a switch that works in the same fashion. I'm going to have a look tonight and see what I can come up with.

It appears that there are 4 wires (yellow, orange, red, brown; botton left of photo) that come from the Wheel (as opposed to buttons on wheel):![]() The wires connect to the board by the 4-wire plug next to the 4-wire plug for the switch. Edited by bluedogrulez, Apr 25 2012, 07:22 PM.
