Senior Member Posts: 641 Group: Senior Members Member #799 Joined: March 21, 2012	So, I'm not the biggest Zelda fan ever, don't get me wrong, I enjoy the games, I'm just not crazy into Zelda. Anyway, I decided to start grabbing anything Zelda because lets face it, If anything always goes up in value, it's Zelda. I got the Skyward Sword collectors edition from amazon and wouldn't ya know it, THIS is the crap they sent me. I know amazon is a little bit riskier because most sellers don't have a pic of the actual item and all you have to go on is the discription but ffs what makes these people think it is ok to list something as new and send you this crap. Not sure if you can see it very well but the last 2 pics I'm trying to show just how dented in the box is.

Amazon is a total crapshoot, you should NEVER expect Mint buying from these. Especially on something current gen. Collectors are less than 1% of the current gen, everyone else is a gamer. Some games would still be quite offended with that condition (depending on price), but if they bought it just to play, they might not care as much as you think. I do a lot of buying on Amazon, but I get stuff absurdly cheap to make it worth my while. And immediately after paying, I send a message requesting for shipping in a box. Half of the time I get it, half of the time I don't. But the item was usually so cheap to begin with, that I don't care unless it is totally ripped to shreds. You can lose a lot of money in this hobby by dealing with unnecessary returns. Ask as many questions as you can up front instead of just buying a stock photo on a "like new" description. You'll almost always be disappointed.

I completely agree with this, but it's all a part of the gamble when buying games online. If I get one in bad condition I just mark it as one that needs replacing at some point and then flog it on eBay. You can usually get your money back this way, and then you just have to continue the chance roulette. At least then whenever it happens the other way and you get a brand spanking new Madden NFL '99 for only 1 cent you can end up smiling for a week!

The sad part is, it's the sellers that make companies like ebay RICH, so ebay doesn't care if the sellers are scamming people, as long as their pockets are nice and filled. I would file any complaint against them that I possibly could, if I was in your shoes.
