Japanese Box Protectors

I think this is the better section of the website to post this rather than the trading section as this is only an interest check.

I've been talking to Jim from http://www.videogameboxprotectors.com/ about creating box protectors for Japanese Nintendo 64 boxes. He was wondering if I knew anyone else that would be interested as my order alone would probably not be enough inspiration to create protectors this size. So I was wondering if there are any other japanese collectors here that would be interested in placing an order. If you would be interested in these just reply with how many you would be interested in purchasing, most of his protectors range from 60 to 80 American cents.

Also he does have North American/PAL protectors on his website though unfortunately are sold out until about mid-may.

I could be keen on a few, maybe 80-90 depending on the postage to New Zealand??, i could also be keen on some PAL, NTSC-U covers as well.

Does anyone know where i can get some universal game cases for N64 carts??, i have found a couple of places online but they are not willing to ship outside the US, and im not willing to pay the stupid prices on Ebay for them.

I'll shoot you, or anyone else, a pm if I here word from him that he may be putting in an order for Japanese protectors. Or email if you'd prefer. Until then just let me know what everyone would be interested in, Japanese wise.

i've been asking him for some Japanese protector ever since i've discovered his website. he's on nintendoage by jimpoleshuk and his thread as some people asking for him but the minimum quantity is like 5000 units to make it worth doing it. with only 96 japanese exclusive, which most us are not specifically collecting, i dont think it'll ever happen. of course if there's any made, im defenetaly in for 200+ since i'll go for the Japanese full set one day, so better be prepared.

Definitely a great idea to try and get this going. I would suggest you ask finngamer too as he has the full set, though I am not sure if he has protectors for them somehow already :eh:

He said if he gets maybe an interest of near 1000 protectors he would put in an order. He said he felt they would probably sell pretty well.

Edit: Actually, I just got an email from him and he seems pretty inclined to order some of these. He said he has a few others to make first but if he received more interest he may bump them up.

I've never been interested in JAP games so much, but i'm quite sure that there are 3 pokemon games released in japan and that pocket monster stadium is the first one where not every pokemon is available... or something like that.

You could try this guy and see if he's willing to get some made:

www.sentinel64.com

I bought 10 for some of my PAL boxes the other day and they just arrived today. I must say, these box protectors are a lot thicker/stronger and less flimsy than the others I already had or seen on the web. Overall, they are a lot better made.

Hopefully you get some idea from these pics:

Pocket Monsters Stadium

Just thought I would clear this up, There are three pokemon stadium games in Japan.
Pocket Monsters Stadium (Often refered to as pokemon stadium 0)
Pocket Monsters Stadium 2 (This is the equivalent to pokemon stadium 1)
Pocket Monsters Gold & Silver (equivalent to pokemon stadium 2 for NA/etc)

Don't quote me on the name of that third one for the Jap name, that might be off.)

TL;DR Pocket Monsters Stadium =/= Pokemon Stadium

according to 64dd.net database (might be wrong)

http://64dd.net/modules/games/index.php?system=n64&type=released&section=main&id=256
http://64dd.net/modules/games/index.php?system=n64&type=released&section=main&id=254
http://64dd.net/modules/games/index.php?system=n64&type=released&section=main&id=255

Pocket Monsters Stadium = a Japanese exclusive
Pocket Monster Stadium 2 = Pokémon Stadium
Pocket Monsters Stadium Gold & Silver = Pokémon Stadium 2

a comparison between the 2 games would be our best bet to determined what is correct.

Yes, 84 includes the original pokemon stadium game. finn's list is incorrect, I believe he has a game that was also a pal release included in his list, I'll take another look now.
