Hi I have found this on ebay and was wondering if it would improve the picture i currently get with my gamecube.

At the moment I have it wired with red white and yellow connections but i hear that RGB cables are better.
Any thoughts?

If they act like component cables then they will make a big difference as they allow you to play your games in progressive scan on a HDTV.

Games like F-Zero GX look amazing in progressive scan and in wide-screen (16:9) mode so I highly recommend picking up these cables if they allow for that function.

do make sure your TV actually accepts an RGB signal before you buy.

TV can handle RGB, i'm just worried they're listed as RGB when they not. Guess i'll have to take the plunge to find out.

RGB cables are a great improvement compared to the usual ones. The best quality you can get out of the Cube is with the original Nintendo RGB cable, but those are hard to find for a good price. Some sellers do have normal cables for sale as RGB cables but if the are professional you should easily get your money back if they don't work.
:n64: = :)
Always many PAL games for sale:

There's an official RGB scart cable for Gamecube as well; I bought one back when the Gamecube launched. It's a noticable step up from the standard issue composite cable but, if I remember correctly, you can't use the RGB scart for progressive scan. For that you need the component cable.

However, if you convert your N64 to output RGB, you can use the same RGB scart cable. :)

does it have a SCART plug?
if it does, the solution is simple... there are cheap SCART switchboxes with audio out on the market.
I've got mine hooked up to a Logitech 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound system. Sweet!!!
