Is Now Posting With Power
Annual Club Nintendo Year N64 Gaming Challenge!

To celebrate our forum, we discussed ideas in the 1000 Members discussion thread. Several of us thought it would be a good idea to follow nintenod Age's idea of trying to beat as many games as possible in 1 year - but let's put our own spin on it and do it in 1 Club Nintendo year. The goal will be to complete as many games as possible before midnight on June 30th, 2013. We can include any games already completed this Club Nintendo year by members, just take a screenshot / post it.

Rules:

1.Only 1 Game can be 'Claimed' per person at a time - multiple people are free to beat the same game if desired but first person to claim it, gets it (please check previous posts to make sure the game is not already claimed after an update post from me)
2.Difficulty level does not matter
3.Sports games are to be beaten via a championship, or state what you completed
4.Some games have no actual ending so state what you challenged yourself to do to "complete" the game
5.Beating the final boss (if there is one) is mandatory - 100% completion is not required, but welcomed
6.After you beat the game, take a screen shot of the ending credits (this needs to be the actual end credits and not taken via the home menu option to go to the credits)
7.Post the picture and try to include how long it took you to beat the game (actual duration in approximate hours, as well as length of time Ex. 2 weeks, a month, etc.), what you completed (final boss, 100% etc), and your personal enjoyment level
8.I will update the list of completed games alphabetically once a week or so via a comment, and games that are completed will be shown in a different color

NEW!! Achievement Levels:
:n64: E3 Gold Level: 15 or more games completed
--Highlander(34), Majora's Mask(22)

:applause: NP100 Gold Level: 10-14 game completed:
--Heinrold(13), bluedogrulez(12)

:yeah: T.R.U. Gold Level: 5-9 games completed:
--Omnert (9), SicCooper(6), Spidercolt(5), Randomgeek(5)

:D Silver Level: 2-4 games completed:
--Clarky_N64(4), macN64(4), Slowbird(3), James92(2), Gooman130(3), DeeMoney(3), Alice Lawless(2), acomicbookguyyc(2), TNT737373(2), buddy1983(2), lithium017(2), Toad (2).

:shades: Bronze level: 1 game completed
--Cypher, danilochka, hockeylife21, HoldStartSelect, Mykur, Renad, SHOTEE, Vekoman, xChrisos, cyan_phoenix, stinger9142, Agent of Ligar, mrdanielcroker, floorcat, RocMan

Spoiler: click to toggle

WWF No Mercy is done!

I managed to outlast all 99 CPUs in the Survival Mode! Took me several tries but this morning I was on my game and managed to squek out a win!

I filmed the finish and used screen captures to make these pics. They didn't turn out so well, but you get the idea:

Spoiler: click to toggle

I'll take an easy one as my next goal: Ready 2 Rumble Boxing on "hard" mode (which will be a cake walk compared to No Mercy)

Way to go Randomgeek! We were stuck at 58 for a while there. Great to see you jump back in with another title, too.

So in some bad news, I spent a few hours on Christmas at the ER due to an unfortunate present unboxing incident:

Spoiler: click to toggle

Yes, that's my thumbstick/d-pad thumb improved by 5 stiches underneath . . . no NES/SNES/N64 gaming for me for 9 more days :.. (

This is the second bad injury to my left thumb in about 15 mos . . .what the heck?!?

Ouch, BDR, that almost makes my thumb hurt. What were you unboxing to cause such an injury, razorblades? :-/

In other news, I'm back. Though I didn't have nearly as much time to myself as I thought (or hoped) I would... Oh well...
I still had time to finish Tarzan on Easy (easy because I thought my young cousin might enjoy playing with me. Little did I know he already had a Wii U and gave up after the first level, telling me my game looked terrible... Kids these days...) It probably took me about 8 hours or so.

Anyway, I found the game to be quite enjoyable (I thought it might be boring and geared towards kids...), and when I have more time I think I'll go back and play it on normal or hard. Even on easy it took several tries to get the 90%+ I was hoping to achieve on each level, and the last level took a whole lot of lives before I figured out what to do. (Hard levels are much harder without the internet...)

Anyway, here's the pic:

We've hit 60!!

Nicely done, Omnert! I posted your acheivement but did NOT give your cousin any credit since he (1) abandoned you and (2) insulted the N64. :nope:

A toy car controller strapped to the box with 2 of those plastic ties they handcuff people with nowadays. The best was my Uncle (former marine) telling me he had "surgical glue" and "butterfly bandaids" and he returned with industrial glue and a roll of duct tape (which he claimed was sterile from being stored in the garage). I looked at him and said, "So where'd you say the nearest hospital is?"

I beat Ready 2 Rumble Boxing on Hard Difficulty (playing Arcade mode, because Career mode takes too long). Like I said, this game is a piece of cake, especially if you use one of the best characters. Most fights were over in the first round.

Here's the pics. I played as Lulu Valentine.

Spoiler: click to toggle

Seeing as how I seem to like obscure sports games, I'll take NBA In the Zone '98 on next. I can get quick games in even on busy days, and school starts back up on the 7th of January so quick is all I'll have time for!

By the way, sorry about the thumb Bluedog! I had a bad thumb injury back in 2004 and like you I couldn't play anything for weeks, so I know what you're going through! >_<

Yeah my cousin wasn't much help...

Sounds painful, but I'm glad someone took you to the hospital so you didn't have to settle for your uncle's "first aid". X_D Who knows what kind of additional damage that would've done.

Great job Randomgeek and HoldStartSelect on beating your respective games. HSS, please be sure to post at least 1 pic of your conquest (as you intend to do).

Dr. Celery, welcome aboard and Randomgeek, way to jump back into the fray!

Hey Cabanon, Heinrold beat you to the punch on that one . . . but we need your skillz to knock off more titles. Can I persuade you to sign up for an unclaimed game?

woh, didnt see that Automobili was already done by Heinrold. he gotta tell me how in the freaking world he beat expert because honestly, these cars are slippery as **** on expert. even on normal Arcade, I can't beat the pro series, im missing like 20 seconds out of the last race with any car i used. I need some tips.

where is Heinrold ????

I don't remember everything because it is some time ago. I always took the upgraded cars after completing any cup. And yes, in the last races I remember that I also missed some races because the time was over but then I just tried again and sometimes a third time but then you knew the tracks and got used to the handlings... Also I think racing games are one of my better genres. On the other hand I suck at FPS.
:n64: = :)
Always many PAL games for sale:

I think he means each player has two months to complete the game they claimed before another person can beat it.

ISS 2000, Can I claim this one? :D

Also completed 007 Goldeneye, will get the pics up soon, took me two solid weeks although I think one week of that was trying to beat the Control Centre on 00 Agent!!

International Superstar Soccer 2000

Completed all Scenarios

Completed World Cup (Level 5) with Columbia

Completed World League (Level 5) with Brazil

Probably took me three weeks all in, playing for too many hours each night! :D

Final League Standings after 62 matches! :)

Spoiler: click to toggle

Top Goalscorers:

I play with three strikers but these pair averaged 3 goals between them per match! :)

was a bit miffed that it froze up once before I could save the progress, just after what would have been my record victory, a 14-0 defeat of Nigeria when my top scorer Jenisol scored 12 goals!!

When I replayed the game I won 8-0 and Jenisol scored only 4 so he really should have had 116 in total!

Highlander, no one needs to tell you "Stay thirtsy, my friend"!

Technically, you are only allowed to claim ONE game at a time. (But if anyone is looking for a game to claim, please look elsewhere, lol).

As soon as the 007 pics are posted, I'll mark you down for MRC.
