Annual Club Nintendo Year N64 Gaming Challenge!

To celebrate our forum, we discussed ideas in the 1000 Members discussion thread. Several of us thought it would be a good idea to follow nintenod Age's idea of trying to beat as many games as possible in 1 year - but let's put our own spin on it and do it in 1 Club Nintendo year. The goal will be to complete as many games as possible before midnight on June 30th, 2013. We can include any games already completed this Club Nintendo year by members, just take a screenshot / post it.

Rules:

1.Only 1 Game can be 'Claimed' per person at a time - multiple people are free to beat the same game if desired but first person to claim it, gets it (please check previous posts to make sure the game is not already claimed after an update post from me)
2.Difficulty level does not matter
3.Sports games are to be beaten via a championship, or state what you completed
4.Some games have no actual ending so state what you challenged yourself to do to "complete" the game
5.Beating the final boss (if there is one) is mandatory - 100% completion is not required, but welcomed
6.After you beat the game, take a screen shot of the ending credits (this needs to be the actual end credits and not taken via the home menu option to go to the credits)
7.Post the picture and try to include how long it took you to beat the game (actual duration in approximate hours, as well as length of time Ex. 2 weeks, a month, etc.), what you completed (final boss, 100% etc), and your personal enjoyment level
8.I will update the list of completed games alphabetically once a week or so via a comment, and games that are completed will be shown in a different color

NEW!! Achievement Levels:
:n64: E3 Gold Level: 15 or more games completed
--Highlander(34), Majora's Mask(22)

I'm not sure if you noticed but I am relinquishing South Park. If someone else wants it then they can have it. If I finish something in the next couple weeks that wasn't claimed I'll post it and try to get pics in for it.

Fighting Force 64 completed on Normal level

Took about two hours.

Didn't think much of this as a game, its pretty basic in both moves and weapons available.

Four characters to choose from which helps a little but not a game worth buying to play

It is done. I'm finally putting an end to my game-off toils and frustrations, for better or worse. It was either the game, or my patience/stubborness (not to mention my will to live) that would be conquered in the end... and now, I can say with utmost resolution, I am not going to play Winback: Covert Operations anymore.

the end result
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

@Floorcat: You rock, bro! So glad you and your N64 console survived that marathon. Tremendous effort; wear it like a badge of honor my friend. :dk:

@Highlander: That's 34 games aced by you. You, sir, are a force of nature. :yeah:

@ALL: We are up to 142 games beaten  I'm thinking the goal of 150 games (set at halftime) will be bested. Proof that the retro collectors here still got game!

Ok guys, I'm back. Took a break from gaming after trying to beat Final Fantasy 7,8, and 9 in 2 days. beat 7 and 8 and got halfway through 9,but to cut to the chase. I'm all most done with NHL breakaway 98, I'm at the Stanley cup. So can I claim blast corps next? Just saying I'm surprised this wasn't taken, it's Rare.

I finished South Park a few months ago and still have a save file near the end of the game. If I finish it the rest of the way again will that still count? I don't see why it wouldn't but I just want to be sure (it was within the time limit). I didn't think about taking pictures at the time but now I wish I had.
Current N64 focus: NTSC-U carts. Current count: 108/296 (36.5%), 4 NTSC-J.

@omnert: as long as your game file was created in the Game-off period (July 2012 to present), that works!

@rocman: i can't mark you down for blast corps until you take care of business with NHL Breakaway '98. We can only claim 1 at a time. But I'm glad your eager to get to Blast Corps. Let that seve as further motivation in the Stanley Cup finals!

NAMCO MUSEUM Update: I got all the fruit in Ms. Pacman (and 45,000+):

Thaaaaanks blue!! (and congrats to you on the Ms. Pacman!!)
Winback was the hardest game I'd played in a while... at least this year so far... but I was resolved to finish it, esp. after your 11th hour announcement!! ;)

This was my first game-off I'd ever been a part in, and seeing how it's such a great way of keeping interest in AND expanding knowledge of the N64 library, I'm going to try to make it a personal rule to not only participate in every game-off from this year onwards, but also claim only games I've never played before. :w00t:

Will it involve N64 games again or is there a possibility that we might have game-offs for other consoles in the future?

Alright, Aidyn Chronicle: The first Mage, is beaten!

This was a great game that easily enters into my N64 top 5.
For me, a real hidden gem that I would totally recommend for
anyone who's into adventure games on the N64.
Also, it features the biggest overworld that I have ever experienced in
an N64 game, it was huge!

This most likely concludes my contribution this time, and, like all the other games
I have beaten in this 'Game off', I'd never before played this game.
It was yet another a totally blind playthrough, and since this is a huge
and rather complex game, it took the longest time to beat, by far!!!
It took much, much longer than I'd expected.

But it was thoroughly enjoyable all the way till the end!
Will certainly play it again sometime in the future!

I played the NTSC version and it crashed 3 times - I have now bought a PAL version too
(it has yet to arrive) and will play that the next time, curious to finding out if it will be more stable or crash too.

Simpson's Hit & Run wasn't released on the N64. In fact, sadly, there wasn't a single Simpson's game on the N64 as far as I'm aware.

O sorry, thought that you were allowed to do any game from any console, I assumed you could do any game on any console because the rules said nothing about not doing them.
I saw a couple of people doing PS1 games such as Toy Story 2 and Resident Evil 2, Maybe i am mistaken

Those games are also on N64. If you go back and read the very first post it explains everything but the purpose of the game-off was to play and complete as many N64 games as we could during the Club Nintendo year. There are plenty of N64 games still availabe if you have anything that hasn't been claimed and completed already. :)
