Annual Club Nintendo Year N64 Gaming Challenge! To celebrate our forum, we discussed ideas in the 1000 Members discussion thread. Several of us thought it would be a good idea to follow nintenod Age's idea of trying to beat as many games as possible in 1 year - but let's put our own spin on it and do it in 1 Club Nintendo year. The goal will be to complete as many games as possible before midnight on June 30th, 2013. We can include any games already completed this Club Nintendo year by members, just take a screenshot / post it. Rules: 1.Only 1 Game can be 'Claimed' per person at a time - multiple people are free to beat the same game if desired but first person to claim it, gets it (please check previous posts to make sure the game is not already claimed after an update post from me) 2.Difficulty level does not matter 3.Sports games are to be beaten via a championship, or state what you completed 4.Some games have no actual ending so state what you challenged yourself to do to "complete" the game 5.Beating the final boss (if there is one) is mandatory - 100% completion is not required, but welcomed 6.After you beat the game, take a screen shot of the ending credits (this needs to be the actual end credits and not taken via the home menu option to go to the credits) 7.Post the picture and try to include how long it took you to beat the game (actual duration in approximate hours, as well as length of time Ex. 2 weeks, a month, etc.), what you completed (final boss, 100% etc), and your personal enjoyment level 8.I will update the list of completed games alphabetically once a week or so via a comment, and games that are completed will be shown in a different color NEW!! Achievement Levels: E3 Gold Level: 15 or more games completed--Highlander(34), Majora's Mask(22) NP100 Gold Level: 10-14 game completed: --Heinrold(13), bluedogrulez(12) T.R.U. This is great Heinrold. Can you change some of the game titles to English though to make the list more unified for everyone? I shall then come up with someway to display it in the first post. |

Come on, it is not so hard to find the "download" button, is it?
I think now I got every title. If you have anything else, just tell me. I also updated Star Soldier and Pokemon Snap in there, too. 2012-N64-Game-Off.xlsx + Can someone please give me reference to a complete JAP-only list? Edited by Heinrold, Aug 13 2012, 03:07 PM.

Played some more Top Gear Rally (about an hour and a half), but I haven't made any noticeable progress. I tried SO hard to beat the first "Fall" season with the starting cars, but it's just too hard. I was doing laps in practise mode trying to work out the best lines to take and everything! I'm guessing there's already wheels in motion trying to organise this a bit better, but I was wondering if it might be better for there still to be a discussion topic, for posting little updates like I have just done for my TGR progress, but have another topic where only structured posts can be submitted, to save the person carrying out the updates having to trawl though unstructured posts to find important bits. I was thinking something like this: GAME COMPLETED: The name of the game you just completed COMPLETION: What you did to complete the game. Boss defeated, percentage complete, difficulty mode it was played on, that sort of thing. Alternatively, for games with no clear end, say what you challenged yourself to do to "complete" the game. TIME TAKEN: How long you took (actual duration in approximate hours, as well as length of time Ex. 2 weeks, a month, etc.) ENJOYMENT: How much you enjoyed it EVIDENCE: Spoiler: click to toggle WILL NOW TAKE: The game the member wants to claim and play through now the last one is finished. If it's a member's first time posting in the topic, they could simply post: WILL TAKE: The first game they'll play through I've just come over from the hurt and heal topic, if you couldn't tell. I'm thinking aloud here, it's just an idea.

I'm still playing Charlie Blast but I'm stuck in one level so I decided to play Bust-A-Move 3 (99 for all North Americans) a bit. Well, it has been more as a bit, maybe around 3 hours until I got all credit screens and so on. The "bad" thing is that you don't have limited credits like in BAM2 so you can lose as often as you like and play every stage over and over again. First of all the arcade battle mode. There I played through in both normal and hard mode. End screen and credits: Spoiler: click to toggle Then I played the puzzle mode. End screen and credits: Spoiler: click to toggle And then there are the win contest and the challenge mode. In the win contest you can unlock characters (picture 1, second character row) and in the challenge mode you get a certificate (mine is not good as I could only win 16 of 25) Spoiler: click to toggle

sorry to switch games so many times, but we figured out the only multiplayer co op on Jet Force is only when you get the little flying character, and he can really only shoot stuff and thats it, so we arent doing jet force. WE ARE DOING MISCHIEF MAKERS. best part is that it keeps track of exactly how long you have been playing, down to the seconds were almost 2 hours in so far.

Advanced a few levels in Charlie Blast but this is a game for the long run. In the meantime I played Automobili Lamborghini and won everything you can win. There are two difficulty settings and I used them on Arcade and Championship mode. Played about 7 hours. If you like racing games you should really give this one a chance. In novice mode, the cars move very easy. But in Expert mode you will slide a lot which may be a lot of fun. It is a fair game: If you drive good, you'll win, if you drive bad, you'll lose. Made a lot of fun and finally I could complete it. In my childhood I didn't have a Controller Pak so I could never finish it but now I'm glad to have it done. Proofs (there is NO credits screen in this game): Spoiler: click to toggle And here is the updated list of our Game-Off: 2012-N64-Game-Off.xlsx |

I finished Banjo-Kazooie last night. After about five or six tries, I defeated Gruntilda. That was one of the most epic boss battles ever! I also collected all of the jiggies, music notes, and empty honeycombs. It took about three weeks or 23 in-game hours to complete. Here is the end screen and game totals screen: Spoiler: click to toggle I'm going to claim Superman next. I figured I'd get the worst game released on N64 out of the way early.

Another one from my childhood (= the time when we had no Controller Pak ): extreme-g!This game has awesome graphics and is still so fluent. Great game settings. Sometimes it feels more like a rail shooter on a roller coaster than a racing game, but still you have to be precise sometimes. The most cups were quite doable. Well, all but the last one where I needed a bit of luck and some very good races. But yet it is done. This game has no credits screen after you beat the last cup. So here are the pictures of when I won the extra machines, after the novice (easiest of 3) and the expert (hardest of three) winning of "Meltdown" (this should be how it is called in the english version). Every other time you win any of the cups you only get a cheat code. Spoiler: click to toggle And finally the current standings: 2012-N64-Game-Off.xlsx 25 games beaten, 20 more in the doing. |

At last, I've finished World Driver Championship. After winning the last race, I got to see this: Spoiler: click to toggle So, because I was not at the highest driver level, I had to go back and do the last race again - all 20 laps of it - to reach the top of the mountain, so to speak. Spoiler: click to toggle After doing that, I finally got the full credits sequence, featuring my car on top of a building with helicopters flying around. Unfortunately it doesn't show up too well in the photos. Someday I'd like to get a capture device and record this part. (And no, unfortunately I don't think there's actually a way to start your own team as the credits suggest.) Spoiler: click to toggle The credits go on for quite a bit longer than that, with many "special thanks" and "extra special thanks" and more. Total time, according to my save file, comes to just under 13.5 hours. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that just counts racing and not time spent in the menus. And then I went and found some cool hidden stuff in the game, like pink car cheat codes and a hidden car to unlock. I really do need a capture device so I can show this stuff.

Mischief Makers is completed. It took us about 5 hours and 35 minutes. We took turns, each playing 1 level. We finished with 24 gold gems. Not 100%, that would be incredibly hard. You would have to get every gold gem, and get an "A" rating on every level...![]() ![]()

This is going well, so many games completed already. I am about 50% complete of Mystical Ninja so far been quite busy lately. Glad I only chose one game : Mac 64 have you found the shortcuts? This will make race a lot easier if you master them. I also found car selection is super important, prehaps your car is to slow, it sounds silly but I found that each stage stage is easier with one of the cars but not all. |

I played through Beetle Adventure Racing in approximatly 10 hours. The game really feels like a big adventure as you can explore many shortcuts on the tracks (where most of them don't do what they should namely making you finish faster). The first two difficulty levels are easy. Then there was a big step in difficulty but after a lot of practice, also both harder modes were doable. It is quite a good game with a few minus points: The AI sucks, sometimes the other cars are driving 100, sometimes 300 while you are only driving 200 km/h. And there are many jumping bugs in it where you lose dozens of seconds by a small driving fault. Here is my proof: Spoiler: click to toggle And again the current standings: 2012-N64-Game-Off.xlsx |

I was nearly at the end of Superman, when I realized I set the game to normal mode, which cuts out the final two levels of the game. I'll start a game on Superman mode later so I can play all the levels. I should have it finished in a couple days. |

I'm choosing slow cars on purpose for a challenge - I'm handicapping myself with slow cars that still leave open the possibility of being able to beat the game (the narrower the margin the better). The slowest car I've managed to beat the game with in previous playthroughs is the M3. I'll see how long I can cope with type CE and IP (on track to beat the fifth season). I'll keep it in mind though - if I'm struggling with one slow car, I'll try another. There's a lot of variables to each car, far more than just top speed and acceleration. I had better have found all the shortcuts by now, seeing as I've been playing the game since 1998!

I finished Superman today. I have never been happier to be done with a game in my life! That final level is just horrible! I beat the game on Superman mode.(the highest difficulty level)It took me about 5 hours to complete the game. Here are some pics of the ending and credits: Spoiler: click to toggle I going to claim Perfect Dark next. I decided I needed to play a really good game after playing Superman. |

Top Gear Rally complete. Top Gear Rally = macN64 - Championship mode completed using slow cars and automatic transmission - around 7 hours over 16 days The cars used were type ES, LD, CE and IP. A lot of races took 4 or 5 attempts to put in a good time and get enough points out of them. Spoiler: click to toggle In the last season, I had obtained enough points to win before even going into the last race, so I took the old ES for one last spin. And what do you know, I made it into the points, finishing only one place down from where I expected to be had I been really trying with the CE or IP! ![]() For my next trick, I will complete Space Station Silicon Valley 100%.* I'm feeling pretty psyched for this one, I get to listen to that sweet, sweet music again. ![]() *That does not include the unobtainable glitched trophy in the Fat Bear Mountain level. I'll snap a pic of my sheep next to it though, showing I would have picked it up if I were able. Edited by macN64, Aug 26 2012, 05:59 PM.

100% on Kirby.![]() EDIT: Sold a lot of extra games to a friend, one being Star Fox 64, so I wanted to leave a mark before he played. Not that high of a score, but it also gave me a reason to play on Zoki's custom console, and that's always a good reason too. And I think it will give DDR greater motivation to play the heck outta the game since he hasn't posted his run yet. ![]() Edited by TNT737373, Aug 27 2012, 07:55 PM.

Great to see so many games finished again and a few new interesting game choices. Clarky, you say it was not difficult, but you used ENGLAND in the championship. How does that fit together? Was there no match with penalty shoot out?

I decided to get through Monster Truck Madness 64 today. I think there are 10 tracks, two of which are limited to higher difficulty levels. So I plowed through the Circuit mode on Expert difficulty, which is pretty tricky sometimes because of the floaty truck physics and AI trucks ramming into the player frequently. Still though, not too bad overall. Spoiler: click to toggle It probably took about 1.5 hours, because of some races I didn't win and had to do over. (You have to win each race to move on to the next one.) Edited by slowbird, Sep 3 2012, 02:16 PM.
