Is Now Posting With Power
Annual Club Nintendo Year N64 Gaming Challenge!

To celebrate our forum, we discussed ideas in the 1000 Members discussion thread. Several of us thought it would be a good idea to follow nintenod Age's idea of trying to beat as many games as possible in 1 year - but let's put our own spin on it and do it in 1 Club Nintendo year. The goal will be to complete as many games as possible before midnight on June 30th, 2013. We can include any games already completed this Club Nintendo year by members, just take a screenshot / post it.

Rules:

1.Only 1 Game can be 'Claimed' per person at a time - multiple people are free to beat the same game if desired but first person to claim it, gets it (please check previous posts to make sure the game is not already claimed after an update post from me)
2.Difficulty level does not matter
3.Sports games are to be beaten via a championship, or state what you completed
4.Some games have no actual ending so state what you challenged yourself to do to "complete" the game
5.Beating the final boss (if there is one) is mandatory - 100% completion is not required, but welcomed
6.After you beat the game, take a screen shot of the ending credits (this needs to be the actual end credits and not taken via the home menu option to go to the credits)
7.Post the picture and try to include how long it took you to beat the game (actual duration in approximate hours, as well as length of time Ex. 2 weeks, a month, etc.), what you completed (final boss, 100% etc), and your personal enjoyment level
8.I will update the list of completed games alphabetically once a week or so via a comment, and games that are completed will be shown in a different color

NEW!! Achievement Levels:
:n64: E3 Gold Level: 15 or more games completed
--Highlander(34), Majora's Mask(22)

:applause: NP100 Gold Level: 10-14 game completed:
--Heinrold(13), bluedogrulez(12)

:yeah: T.R.U. Gold Level: 5-9 games completed:
--Omnert (9), SicCooper(6), Spidercolt(5), Randomgeek(5)

:D Silver Level: 2-4 games completed:
--Clarky_N64(4), macN64(4), Slowbird(3), James92(2), Gooman130(3), DeeMoney(3), Alice Lawless(2), acomicbookguyyc(2), TNT737373(2), buddy1983(2), lithium017(2), Toad (2).

--Cypher, danilochka, hockeylife21, HoldStartSelect, Mykur, Renad, SHOTEE, Vekoman, xChrisos, cyan_phoenix, stinger9142, Agent of Ligar, mrdanielcroker, floorcat, RocMan

@Omnert: nice job!
------------------------
It was a grueling 19 mins of finding numbers while walking extra slow or riding a jet ski or driving a bumper car or snowboarding, and then having to do math. And to up the stakes, I took on Hard mode. But I survived to post that Elmo's Number Journey has been beaten. :yeah:

Sweet mercy, Elmo's Number Journey! There are some games that would never get played if it wasn't for the game-off... :D

I'm happy to report I managed to barely survive a 7-game playoff series against the Detroit Red Wings in NHL '99 (phew!), and with a CPU team knocking out the Colorado Avalanche, it looks like it will be clear sailing to the finals. So yeah, NHL '99 should be done in about two weeks, barring any huge mistakes on my part (I try to do 1 game per day).

One thing I'd like to try is beating Survival Mode in WWF No Mercy,, I might go for that next.

I finished Bomberman Hero on Normal. I wasn't keeping track at first, but it probably took me about 10 days. Pretty fun game. Now I need to go back and get the Clear Points I missed...

Down goes Big Mountain 2000. Took about 4 hours (hadnt played in an age) with Janet Brown. I will stand by my belief this is an underrated game of its genre. Natsume developed it, and they nailed the feeling of downhill skiing at a speed just above comfort level. Anyway, pics:

Thanks! I'm not sure yet. A few more games are on their way (in the mail), so possibly one of those.

I've been playing a few different games lately, but I'm nowhere near finishing any of them yet.

Today I played/finished Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue on medium, (the Titanium Quest). It took about 4.5 hours total.
Pretty repetitive game: Rescue, Shoot, Repeat. Occasionally fight a boss. Not too bad though.

I know I haven't posted much here in awhile but not to worry guys I'm still working on DK 64. I'm sure for those of you that have played that this game is a crazy item hunt. I'm going for 100 percent here so it may take me awhile as I've never done it before. I'm currently at 89 gold Bananas and a total of 46% is complete. I'll be putting in another hour or two this weekend and my goal is to be at 60% by the end of the weekend. Wish me luck guys.

Oh god I remember playing glover as a kid and not having a single clue what to do haha. Unforutnately I lost interest in Conker, guess its just not for me, which is odd because BK/BT are my top 2 favorite games of all time. I just don't like how theres no direction as what to do and its kinda mission based. I'll get back to it eventually.

I've been having a look on that one, too, and already played the first few missions. But good that you made it :yeah:

I only have time to play a few simple Gameboy games lately because my semester forces me to work quite a bit. Also not much time to visit the forums often, but every now and then I check our game-off and it is good to see that we have alredy beaten more than 50 games:

All right, NHL '99 (regular season & playoffs, on All-Star difficulty) is done!

After a crazy game where I was up 3-0, then the Pittsburgh Penguins came back to make it 3-3 (I guess I got overconfident, LOL), then I took the lead again (4-3), then they tied it up again (4-4), and then finally I got the final winner and an empty net goal to put it away (6-4). Whew! Pretty exciting for a 15 minute game of Hockey.

Here's the pics:

Best of all, I can now officially claim to be an expert at this game!

Up next: Trying to beat Survival Mode in WWF: No Mercy! Wish me luck!

After that I'm not sure, I see that two of the games I'm currently playing (Extreme G and Pokemon Stadium) are already done.

Thanks! I really enjoyed Battletanx (couldn't stop playing), and I kinda wish I already had the second one (Global Assault) so I could play that too. But hopefully the suspense will just make it that much better when I do get it.

And good luck on WWF: No Mercy, Randomgeek! Also, congratulations on beating NHL '99! :applause: Sports games were never really my thing (well, sports in general I guess X_D ) so it's quite impressive seeing you do something I cannot. (I've tried playing through a few of the sports games that I have, but I just don't seem to have the patience...)

Snowboard Kids 2 is fini. Story mode (12 races and 3 mini games) took me about 7 hours. It was my first time playing either SBK game and wow, what fun! Great level designs, fun (replayable) mini games, and the music is fantastic (Snowman Boss Theme)!!!

For SBK2, no, not required for Game-Off. Esp. with 200+ games left, don't have the time to commit to perfecting this one. If anyone wants to one-up me, I'd happily post their achievement.

For Wave Race, TBD.

Congratulations bluedogrulez! Good job acomicbookguyc! And good luck HoldStartSelect! To this day I still haven't finished DK 64, though I've played it a bunch.

I'm still working on Glover (currently ~35%), though I had a pretty hard time with the first bonus level ('frogger'-type level). I'm also playing my way through Vigilante 8 (currently I've beat the quest mode with 4 of the different main characters - it's kinda my break from Glover). But overall I've been quite distracted with the Atari 2600 lately... There's just too many good games to play!

I'll be out of town for a few days and staying at my grandparent's house where there isn't much to do (no internet, among other things), so I'm taking my :n64: (and my camera) in the hopes of getting to spend some much needed quality time with it, and maybe finishing another game or two.
