So, with a bit of egg on my face, I have to admit it appears that I unwittingly purchased a pirated famicom cart of Lickle, the famicom release of Little Samsom. Little Samsom is a late NES release by Taito that sells for $300+ NTSC, $150+ PAL and about $100 NTSC-J (U.S. dollars). I won this auction for about $32 plus shipping: ***** LICKLE ***** Little samson Famicom Ultra Rare ![]() HERE WE HAVE FOR SALE FAMICOM ULTRA RARE LICKLE(LITTLE SAMSON) I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THESE GAMES, BUT I OWN A GOOD BOY CONSOLE WHICH PLAYS FAMICOM AND NES CARTRIDGES AND I HAVE TESTED AND PLAYED THIS GAME AS SEEN IN PICTURES AND WORKS FINE. I ALSO DON'T KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE QUALITY OF CARTRIDGE IF THERE IS SUCH A THING I WOULD SAY USED BUT WORKS FINE. ANY QUESTIONS OR OTHER PICTURES REQUIRED JUST EMAIL ME ! POSTAGE TO UK AND EU WILL BE £3.00 POSTAGE OUTSIDE THE EU AND REST OF WORLD IS £4.50 GAME WILL BE VERY WELL BUBBLED AND SENT REGISTERED DELIVERY TO THE LUCKY BUYER OF THIS RARE GAME. PAYPAL ONLY PAYMENT WITHIN 3 DAYS OR ITEM WILL BE RE LISTED ITEM PICTURED AS ALWAYS IS WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE ITEM WILL BE POSTED DAY AFTER PAYMENT RECEIVED PAYPAL ONLY. THANKS FOR LOOKING ! ***************************************************************************************** I have not yet received the cart, but I'm now fairly certain it is a pirated copy of this official release: ![]() More than the cart color, you will note that the official release has Taito markings on the cart label, whereas my copy does not. The title screen of the game (as posted in eBay listing) also lacks Taito copyright notices. Questions: Given the misrepresentations in the eBay listing, what recourse should I seek from the Seller (if any)? Also, does anyone know if pirated carts are typically playable (same quality, full game, no crashing)? Interested to know . . . Edited by bluedogrulez, Aug 30 2012, 01:57 PM.

you know, some pirated carts are actually quite valuable (dont ask me why) as long as they are "period" and not made yesterday Not saying ths one is too, but it does warrant some further research if it does turn out to be a pirate copy. |

Original posted edited to include pic of my fake baby. I've since read that the extra ridges at the top of the front of the cart are a telltale sign of a pirated copy. Real famicom carts don't have them. Fingers crossed my fake is playable. |

as is the absence of any copyright or manufacturer information. label looks a bit cheap-ish too, also typical for a knock-off |
