Any thoughts or opinions on this collection? I've never really played a Kirby game but I'd like to. Should I start with this?

I think they made this collection for you. I would DEFINITELY suggest this collection for you.

This has been sold out everywhere I've checked, so good luck.

I went to Target the day it came out, and I got the very last copy. Gamestop is right by target, so I went there right after, and they were sold out too. Im so glad I got mine, its a great price too for 6 games, a soundtrack, and a little art book thing.

Wow, I came on to post a pic of this in the other thread and saw this one... so here's my copy that I picked up this afternoon from Best Buy:

I agree with SicCooper - for this price, it is too good to pass up for all of those games. I've held off buying Kirby's Super Star on the Wii Virtual Console ever since I found out they were releasing this game (with the special edition of all the bonuses inside). I'll be busy for the next couple of weeks!

Btw, it was released yesterday (Sunday) but I was too busy at home watching football all day so I waited until I got off work this afternoon. At the Best Buy I went to, there were 3 copies (2 after I picked one up) of the special edition left on the shelf/rack. Not sure if there will be a run on this edition like when the Mario's 25th Anniversary Edition game was released - remember that? Those were selling like hotcakes the first couple days and then they ran out, and people were re-selling them for double the price and making a profit.

And then the price dropped. And then Nintendo re-released it (despite claiming they were "limited" during the first print run) some time later  .

I purchased 2 more, 1 to give away in a contest on my youtube channel once I reach 2000 subscribers, and another to just keep sealed, and hopefully make a decent profit off of when/if the price increases (such as mario all stars did)

and of course, I still have my own copy that I am keeping sealed. :)

Cooper, where did you find them "sealed"? At Best Buy, they had the game already out of the plastic shrink wrap and inside this large clunky plastic security container...

Not that I'm considering getting another copy sealed for the sake of my collection... well maybe... :-8

The game itself (with the soundtrack) is sealed, but the box is unsealed.

I guess the only way to tell if it has ever been opened, is if someone bent the flap a little, while opening the outer box.

Okay, thanks for verifying. Unlike the other 2 Wii games I have in my collection that I haven't opened (Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary and Skyward Sword Collector's Edition) I'll be opening this one to play. It's a shame the whole thing (cardboard box) isn't sealed <_<

What an excellent collection of games! Congrats to everybody who's got one, it looks super fun. Ironically I just bought the original Super Star on the SNES CIB, but I gave my Wii away too early what a mistake that was.. The sense of doom is now sinking in!
I agree Europe has gotten the shaft by Nintendo, this should definitely see a release over there, if it doesn't us Americans should now be considered blessed. ha

According to Wiki (I'm not sure if it's 100%),

"The game was released in Japan on July 19, 2012 and in North America on September 16, 2012 and will be released in Europe later in the year.".

Maybe that's good news for you all.

I was able to get it on Monday at my store since it didn't get put on the salesfloor Sunday (which is my fault, I'm the one who remembers unusual release dates when no one else cares, but this time I forgot  ). Pleased to have it in my collection though, for the reasons you guys cited above. Haven't got to play it yet but I will get to it soon. Thanks for the responses, friends.

during the Wii U launch window? I wont hold my breath for that to happen.
But anyway, it hasnt been announced yet and it would have been if a Q4 release was planned.

I hope it will come out here in europe.

Ebay shippings prices are way to high to the Netherlands (€20,-)
