Could Killer Instinct 2 HD Remix be coming to Xbox Live Arcade? Microsoft renews Killer Instinct trademark Fans have been begging for the Killer Instinct games to be ported to XBLA with improved graphics and on-line support since Perfect Dark got that treatment. Let's hope it's finally going to happen or better still maybe even a whole new installment in the franchise. Question for collectors: Will rereleases of the KI games up the prices of the original cartridges?

I hate to say it, but re-releases usually lower the value of the original games, in my experience. Take Marvel vs Capcom games, Pikmin 2, etc. A new release of the franchise would be cool though. I'm sick of all the remakes of everything. Edited by corE, Sep 18 2012, 08:40 AM.

since KI and KI Gold sold shiploads of carts, they're both very common and i dont expect a price hike. |

I reckon it truly has become a digital distribution world. |

Yeah. I really hate that. I would love to have boxed copies like yours. KI was one of my FAVORITE SNES games. Nintendo just knows that people will keep buying things they already have, or they know people will jump to own something they used to have, or never had the chance to own. The collectors are the only ones that suffer, after the hard work they put into keeping things in nice condition. |

There's a great lesson to be learned here and that is to only collect what you really enjoy playing. I've had a good time with both Killer Instinct games so I have no regrets about owning the cartridges. In fact, I'm hoping that all the time I'm putting in to KI Gold will be rewarded if and when the game finds its way to XBLA. In the meantime, if anyone would like to download the KIG soundtrack for free you can do so from the link below. Overall the tunes aren't as good as the original KI's music but the price is right so who cares. KI2/G soundtrack Edited by Grizzmeister, Sep 22 2012, 08:21 PM.
