Bought a "Display Only" Kirby Superstar box w/ inserts like new one ebay, it's shrink wrapped, and it has a store hang tab on the top. (Opened on the right side with a slit hanging out, 2nd picture) The cart did not come with the rest but it has the inserts like new, and I'm very curious if these were shipped to certain retailers with the purpose of the cart inside to be put into the store's demo kiosk. Here's some pics:![]() ![]()

I know Lithium has a bunch of these, and he might have more information on them. I have 1 myself, its Super Mario World. |

Yep I contacted Lithium first through PM, he's unsure of why this is shrink wrapped too. I sent a message to the seller a day ago, still waiting for a response. I've gotten other "Display Only" boxes from him previously, and while they came with the shrink wrap also, the shrink wrap was separate unattached from the box, folded off to the side. I'm just curious if a Brand New "display only" SNES game exists... SUPER MEGA ULTRA RARE ONE OF A KIND! Edited by TNT737373, Sep 19 2012, 09:54 PM.

I might have missed this, but is that "H" sealed, or whatever Nintendo used for a lot of their games? I would assume, this seller has a shrink wrap machine, and just hopes nobody questions them. |

These are indeed strange to see sealed. Not sure why they would have been sealed along with the additional contents on the inside but no game. Interesting |

That was either a reseal or someone took cellophane off another game and applied it to this one. All of the display boxes were laid flat and distributed that way, not sealed. I forget how many there are, but I think it's about 25 to 28 SNES "For Display Only" boxes in the set. |

I've bought 12 "Display Only" boxes from this seller and they all come with shrink wrap and inserts, browsing their seller history they've sold at least 100 boxes in this type of set, so it's puzzling why they would go through all the hassle to include shrink wrap & extras for such low BIN prices. Still haven't heard back from them. Anyway, it's cheaper for those who want to go the long way of collecting through buying boxes/carts separately in bulk. Here's their store: http://www.ebay.com/sch/techbabe/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686 Edited by TNT737373, Sep 26 2012, 12:59 PM.
