Always wanted to pick one of these up and they seem to cheaper now than ever... but presumably they won't pick up any signal nowadays?

When the last regions go digital they'll have no use. Kinda sad!
155 games & counting!
UK PAL console with Goldeneye
US NTSC Toys'r'us Gold exclusive with two pads
JAP NTSC basic version

ive got one but havent used it in years. It did work when i purchased it but AFAIK there's no analog TV signal around here anymore.

I responded to a local ad for a GameGear "with some games and a bag" and gave it only a cursory glance when i picked it up (for 25 euro IIRC)
When i got home i was thrilled to discover more than 20 games AND the TV tuner at the bottom of the licensed carry-all bag.
The TV tuner is rarer than hen's teeth here in Holland, i have never seen another one.

Great example of an old gaming curiosity though.

eBay UK has them selling (final price) for 99p with £2.00 postage. Most Game Gear stuff is really cheap. I guess a lack of quality titles has made it unattractive to collecters?

thats really cheap.
But then, anything that isnt Nintendo tends to be cheap(ish).
Second-hand PS1 games are a dime a dozen (with some exceptions, i know) but N64 games from the same era are still sought after and a valuable commodity.
Guess not all games are created equal (but we already knew that) :)
