Level 30 Necromancer/Master of Quest 64
|
I finally got a new copy of Pokemon Sapphire, and I'm already kicking thee ass of my enemies. Of course, I still hate Poison moves, and I can't wait to get my first Steel pokemon. I laugh at Poison! Ha! Ha! Aw, nuts, he took down my Poochyena... I watched some battles of the classic Smash, and played some more Sonic Battle of course. When it comes to 3 on 1, the 3 will always win, yeish... |

What did you think of Black's last level, Rapueda? It's so hard! I think my favorite level in Black was either the Bridge or the Nasran Town... all those trenches and rockets flying about made for some really intense moments!

The last level was really hard. Luckily there were more than two checkpoints. My favorite level was the Tivliz Asylum. Especially the beginning where you're fighting in that junkyard. It was so exhilarating. Oh, and the music in that level was amazing.

I just came back from a holiday on which I played a lot of DS and GBA games. I got 16 hours on Final Fantasy VI Advance, around 5 hours on The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, 26 hours on Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (multiple tries needed to beat the final boss not included - real time is probably more like 35 hours) and 12 hours on Pokemon Pearl. I managed to complete Minish Cap (I was already quite far on it) and Superstar Saga (which I started a few weeks ago). Now that I'm back home though, I think I'll just leave my DS alone and get back to Metroid Prime :). |

I've been playing alot of 360 right now... CrackDown(still my favorite game on the system, I never get tired of this disc) Call of Duty 3(I rented it last night, so far I am impressed. The graphics are incredible, and the AI has improved over CoD2) |

alxbly, what do you think of Viva Pinata? I was thinking of picking it up, ever since the price hit $30. I gave Just Cause a rental, I thought it was incredible, the scope of the island you can explore is amazing. Not to mention the graphics blew me away, but I can understand that it would get boring pretty quickly. Now Playing: Crackdown(360) Every Extend Extra(PSP) Wipeout: Pure(PSP) |

Viva Pinata is like no other Rare game; the best comparison I can think of is a cross between Pokemon, Harvest Moon and SimCity. It's definitely worth a rental as behind the sugary sweet graphics lies a very strategic game. The goal is to progress your garden by getting as many different varieties of pinata to live there as possible (your garden increases in size as more pinata take up residence). The trade off is that for some pinatas to stay, they must be happy and breed and many of them need to eat other pinatas before this will happen. Expanding your garden and keeping your pinatas happy is actually quite good fun; you need to balance out the varieties you want to keep and try to avoid pinatas that don't like each other. You also need to look out for sourz (pinatas that will infect other pinatas with unhappiness) but you either kill them or try to tame them in some way; happiness sweets work a treat! All this may sound a bit sugar-coated and it is, but the gameplay has a so many layers that it's actually quite complex. The range of pinatas and plants that you can attract/grow is huge, and it's the kind of game that you can loose yourself in for hours without really noticing it. It's not a game I play all the time, but it makes a nice change from frantic shooters and it's really unique. Definitely worth a try.

Played(or should I say watched) some more Super Smash Bros.(n64, biznitches!), a fair ammount of Pokemon Sapphire, and of course, some Sonic Battle. I haven't had that much time for Disgaea lately. |

Still on Metroid Prime. Really great game (deserving of the scores it got IMO). I guess after I complete it I'll start on the sequel. |

Army Men: Sarges Heroes(N64) I just finished the game for the first time since '99, it's good stuff, but the cheap deaths and brain dead ai keep the game from being a true classic Yakuza(PS2) I FINALLY picked this up and I must say it was worth the wait, reminds me alot of my all time favorite Shenmue(DC) Currently looking for another N64 game to give a casual playthrough... |

Mainly Paper Mario (N64). I recently (like 2-3 weeks ago) tried this game again. I've had it for a few years now, but I hadn't got very far into it because I've been stuck. But when I tried it again I got un-stuck after a while. I'd forgoten just how fun this game is. I'm on chapter 3 right now. |
