Been playing a bit of Pilotwings 3D over the weekend, and it is surprisingly good fun! A classic case of a "just one more go and i'll get it perfect" game. Presentation is top notch (as usual with Ninty games) and the 3D effect is very well implemented and incorporated into the gameplay.

This morning I played Modern Warfare 2 on my Xbox 360 because the excitement level for the sequel, which will be released around my birthday, is really starting to ramp up.

Also, put in a little time on the Virtual Console version of F-Zero X simply because that one looks so nice in progressive scan. I do miss the rumble that I get when I play it on the N64, though. :(

Struggling on Excitebike 64 tonight!
I've had a really tough time with Excitebike 64 too. People say it's as brilliant as Wave Race 64 or F-Zero X but I've never been able to appreciate that level of quality.

Today I went on-line and played Goldeneye 007 on my Wii. Now that the price of the game has dropped to just $10 at Gamestop there are a lot more people playing which makes it even more fun.

Still playing Pilotwings Resort (3DS) - man, that game is really addictive! - and Dead Or Alive Dimensions (3DS).
The latter is extremely well-made and presented, with beautiful and extensive 3D cutscenes (whole movies almost) in career mode.
And it is one heck of a fighter game too! Combat is lightning fast and very fierce with excellent animation, all set in lush scenery.

I've been playing:

DiRT - didn't think I liked this at first, probably because the first race is with huge trucks on dirt track; the handling felt too loaty but it was just the trucks/dirt track combination. Handling on other vehicles is pretty tight and fun.

Medal of Honor - the modern day MoH was actually pretty good, although it does feels like a poor man's Call of Duty. The story is much better than the recent Call of Duty stuff (Black Ops and MW2 were both ridiculous) and the game has genuinely tense moments. Just a shame the single player is quite short and the multiplayer... ach, don't get me started on that. <_<

LA Noire - Gonna try to finish this now. The gameplay feels a bit disjointed and awkward at times... whilst it looks amazing it's no GTA or Red Dead Redemption.

Serious Sam HD - Got Serious Sam HD and Serious Sam 2 HD on disc so been playing through the first one. I love Serious Sam, it does what Doom 3 should have; throw a million enemies at you and it doesn't take itself too seriously. :D

Still playing Goldeneye 007 on my Wii as the on-line mode is quite brilliant. I also downloaded Street Fighter III: Third Strike On-line Edition this last week off of XBLA. It's much harder to play than Super Street Fighter IV so I wouldn't suggest purchasing it unless you're A) a Street Fighter fanatic or B) you're prepared to commit yourself completely to training nonstop until you're expert level. I've been playing Street Fighter games for 16 years and I still get owned most of the time. :o

Today I downloaded the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection demo off of XBLA and played all three version included as Liu Kang. I was even able to pull off his Dragon Bite fatality in MK II.

Also played Super Mario Kart on my SNES because I wanted to unlock the 150cc GP on a Player's Choice cartridge I recently acquired but man is the Special Cup in 100cc hard. Looks like the old Grizzmeister might be losing his touch.

I actually ended up buying that through Xbox.com at like, six in the morning the day on Wednesday. That's how much I was looking forward to it. But the surprising part? I still haven't gotten a chance to play it

When you get a chance let me know how the on-line plays.

I downloaded Street Fighter III: Third Strike On-line Edition the day it became available on XBLA but my God the on-line competition is fierce. That's to be expected, though, since some fans have been playing the game almost religiously since it was originally released 10 years ago. I'm probably a slightly better than average Street Fighter player (given past performance in SF II: Turbo on the SNES and SSF IV on the Xbox 360) and I've hardly won any on-line matches. If you enjoy challenging fighting games then 3SO is definitely for you. ^_^

At Walmart I got the collector's edition of the PS2 Grand Theft Auto Series new for 14.95!
It includes GTAIII, GTA:Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. Great deal for 5 bucks a game.

Just beat Grand Theft Auto III over the last couple of days, damn that game is hard without cheats!

Love Rockstar Games, all their new titles are exceptional quality in story line, it's like your playing violent drama films. LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption, and GTA IV are different takes on the sandbox genre depending on what your into movie-wise. Film-noire, Western, mafioso, or dislike all of the above? ha

I burned myself out on Monter hunter Fredom Unite after only 70 hours, a far cry from the 500+ spent on Freedom.

Anyhow, I have spent the last two weekends playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 late at night. I have also been playing some Pokemon Black. I plan on trading in 2 Mario Kart ds games in soon towards a copy of Pokemon White. I have just mainly been breeding me a nice army of level 1 pokemon to start with :D

Zelda II but I'm playing with a guide :-8 considering how hard it is.
I would have to do the same thing but my friend is just as good as a guide. Very tough game I find.

I am currently playing Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Party with my new roommates in our house. Retro awesome 8 months coming up.

Okay, I finally got around to playing it. I couldn't play the online portion since my Gold expired and I am as poor as Atari graphics. The single player is fricken insane. Difficulty-wise, I mean. I put it on Very Easy because I'm lame, and I got my ass kicked by Goro so many times that I ended up throwing my keys at the wall. It's THAT frustrating! They didn't port over the SNES or Sega Genesis versions. Instead, they ported over the quartering-consuming Arcade version where the AI cheats and can read your input commands and know how to block accordingly. Let me remind you that I was playing on Very Easy, and I was spamming the cheap moves by characters like Sub Zero (freeze attack), Kano (anti-gravity spinny thingy), Raiden ("booodybuudaaayy!"), and Lord knows what else. The game was designed to hurt you emotionally

It always sounded to me like Raiden was saying, "you're momma's from L.A.".

I'm still playing Goldeneye 007 on my Wii as I finally got to level 17 which unlocked the bio booster.

I've also started playing Halo Reach again because of the Team Classic playlist that's been added.

It wouldn't surprise me if he did. If Midway, Ed Boon, and John Tobias were from L.A. instead of Chicago, I'd think we'd have some solid evidence <_>
