Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (DS) - replaying the game. It gets real fun when you have infinite ammo.

Need for Speed Shift (Android) - surprisingly playable on a tablet!
Galaxy on Fire 2 (Android) - pretty good Freelancer-ish.

I finally got to level 50 in The Godfather for the 360. I got there twice on the original Xbox, once on the Wii, and once on the PS2. For some reason, it's much harder to do on the 360. Took me from January 4, 2009 until September 14, 2011. On the original Xbox, I did just the main story and the businesses. On the 360, I did all of that, plus the favors DLC pack, got all the film reels, cracked all the safes, got all the bonus money bags, and completed all of the bonus hit requirements. I also did all the other stuff like the prize fights and all that. They made the level 50 requirement much greater :/

Well, I finally got that today. Took me about 13 hours from level 49 onwards. I stopped playing a year or two ago, and just picked it up again yesterday. I did the whole bar in 11 hours, then stopped for the night and did two more hours of work today and got it. I found an easy way to do it by walking on the street bribing EVERY SINGLE cop you see. Do this on your way to the trucks by the safe houses and hijack them for 2,000 points. But only hijack trucks while you're waiting for the banks to reopen. You primarily want to rob all of the banks since each one gives you 8,000 points. While you wait for them to reopen, hijack trucks. While doing both, bribe cops. Bribing cops makes them help you when you rob the banks since they won't go after you. They'll also assist you when in a gang war from hijacking the trucks. If you bribe an FBI agent, you'll get 5,000 for winning a mob war.

After doing all of that nonsense, I finally got 1000G in the game. I immediately started going for the 250G DLC missions. They're pretty fun and pretty easy. No troubles yet. Well except for my console freezing :/

Was it worth it? lol
I can only assume you love The Godfather trilogy to put yourself through that challenge.
My favorite new-gen game is GTA IV but I haven't even spent the time to find all the hidden packages and jumps.

The Godfather III doesn't exist. I don't know what you're talking about. What sequels? There's only two movies. I've never heard of a third film. And if it was ever made (in 1990) with a crappy actress and a story that kills everything you know and love about the Godfather.... What was I talking about again?

But seriously though, Godfather III was just as disappointing as the two Matrix sequels, as well as Rambo 3, Terminator 3, Back to the Future 3, the Star Wars prequels, and the unnecessary sequel to Dumb & Dumber. Don't see it. See the originals, but stay away from the evil spawn of satan known as The Godfather pt III.

But anywho, I'm now playing Pokemon Crystal on my Wii :D

EXACTLY.
..lol. Also I agree with everything else mentioned, they just didn't put the equal amount of effort into their sequels, rather just cashing out on what credibility was already established. Undoubtedly The Phantom Menace and Godfather III fall into the top five disappointments in all of cinematic history. They cannot be undone, they will never go away. We just have to deal with them when they show themselves, like terrible in-laws and pretend they don't exist. lol.

Speaking of broken hearts and crushed nostalgia you blissfully forgot the hellish add-on to Indiana Jones, my god. lol. The pain isn't even over, that was the beginning of a new trilogy. :-X While I like Shia LeBeouf as an actor he's just not the right guy to take Indy's place, in which his presence will likely spawn another trilogy after that. Yikes. Most of us have grown up next to his career, and let's face it, subconsciously we still all see him as the dorky kid from "Holes" or "Even Stevens". ha. Also full CGI stunts don't belong in the Indy series, it dissolves the suspense and excitement. :( Auuughhh, so sad.

But on a lighter note I consider the Back to the Future trilogy to actually be a trilogy though, I had fun with the 3rd movie and thought it was strong finish. Love all three. And even better is that Robert Zemeckis has declared that the series will never be touched as long as he lives, so no "specific digital enhancements" or prequels about when Marty was a toddler. lol. You can sleep soundly knowing that the series will remain untarnished by holiday specials, horrible sequels, or live action tv shows. But it will live on as a great blend of the comedy and sci-fi genre along with Ghostbusters.

One other thing I think we can agree on though, is that Huey Lewis & the News Rrrrooccccks! "That's the Powwwer of Looove!"

of course, all those mediocre movies are masterpieces when you compare them with the steaming pie of cow dung that is Blues Brothers 2000. As far as i know thats the only movie that is worse than the horrible tie-in game of the same name. the horror, the horror!

Despite my curiosity I have refused to see that movie, ha. Most people don't even know it exists, unfortunately I love the original Blue Brothers a lot so I stumbled upon it on IMDB, however I saw the trailer and immediately erased it from my mind until now, so thanks MK for reviving that bottled up emotional pain. lol. Crazy enough I actually liked the game though, had it when I was 8 and loved it. Thought it was a challenging platformer, but Titus the developer had already made so many sh%#ty games at that point BB2000 probably got sucked into that fiasco next to Superman 64.

I'm also proud to say I've managed to avoid every movie by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, those asses that decided to spit out Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and Meet the Spartans. I remember so many friends asking me to go see one of things at the movies, and then me telling them to get out of the car. lol

Back on topic so I don't get into twouble, :P I'm trying to collect all items in Banjo Tooie.

me too, thats what made BB2000 so excruciating. the original movie was awesome and the sequel should just never have been released.

Anyway, back on topic: ive been playing a lot of Xevious on my 3DS. Just as good as it was back in the 80's when i wasted many guilders trying to beat this game at the local arcade.

I will admit that I did forget about Blues Brothers 2000 since, let's be honest here, it's a very forgettable movie. As for Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull-f*** My Childhood, I chose to ignore it since talking about it is what gives it its powers. It's like Freddy Kreuger. If we ignore it, hopefully it'll lose its energy and go away.

Also, I did like Back to the Future III a lot. I just listed it because it's one of those movies that gets thrown into the bundle when people talk about bad sequels. I liked how it added some closure, but it didn't solve everything. For example:

Marty life is screwed. He spent almost an entire year in 1955 seeing as how he arrived on November 5, 1955 and left the night of Senior Prom. When he came back, he arrived before he even left (that's how he saw his double). So he now looks a year older than everyone remembers him.

When he sees his family, they are totally different people. Since they are no longer poor, clumsy, second class people (the way Marty remembers them growing up), that means that they've lived their lives entirely different than from what Marty remembers. Basically, every memory he has with his mom, his dad, brother, sister, and everyone else in general- none of this ever happened. They're all strangers to him. Nothing in his life has ever taken place. The only things he's lived through that have happened, happened before he was born. Speaking of which...

Elaine remembers Marty from the past, and names her son Marty. They look exactly alike. How does George not accuse her of cheating on him? This would be the first thing I would do, seeing as how he was supposed to open the car door to see Marty and Elaine getting jiggy with it in the back seat. Marty was born in 1967, since he is 18 in 1985. George and Elaine are 18 in 1955. It takes them 12 years before they decide to create Marty. Maybe this could have something to do with it, but I dunno.

Why doesn't anyone realize that everything Marty has said or done eventually became big later on? From the skateboard, to Chuck Berry, and even Calvin & Klein- why doesn't anyone find this suspicious?

The whole concept of time travel doesn't even make sense either. When Marty is in the Twin Pine Mall's parking lot, he goes back in time and knocks down a tree in a field (this later causes the mall to be renamed to the Lone Pine Mall). This field, as the movie implies, is the resting point of the mall 30 years in the future. That's fine and all, but the movie says that if you go back in time, you will be sitting exactly where you are, but in another point in time. If you change the future, you are merely creating a different future than the one you know, in an alternate reality. They just never explain that while you are staying still, the Earth is still moving. You would have to trade in your 1950-2000 Sports Almanac for a Science one to know the exact location and axis of the Earth's rotation while it is in orbit. If the Earth keeps revolving around the sun, and it doesn't get back to its original place for another 365.25 days, you would have to either A) travel by whole years, no remainders, or B) plot your points and pray for no mathematical errors. Otherwise, someone will spot a new meteor in space in the shape of a Delorean.

Another point to bring up is Biff. In 1955 he's a dick. In 1985, he's a middleaged dick. In alternate 1985, he's a super dick. In new-present 1985, he's a pretty nice guy. This is the 1985 that continues onto the beginning of Back to the Future part II. Deciding that this is the Biff that lives out the rest of his life, what made him became a jerk again when he's old? It couldn't be because of the Sports Almanac because Old Biff is the one who gives it to him, creating the alternate 1985 where' he becomes super dick. What happened?!

Damn that's heavy doc. I understand all those flaws too, ha. As another fan who's watched the trilogy way too many times, what begins to happen is that you gradually forget it's a lighthearted comedy and start to view it through the eyes of Emmett Brown himself. ;) You see, Americans movie-goers aren't too keen on being briefed with constant laws of physics and general relativity, so they ultimately decided to replace those scenes with Biff going into piles of manure. :applause: ..lol, and I love every second of it!

I have Ready 2 Rumble Boxing on the 64 (as well as Episode I Racer, both Tony Hawk's, and eventually I'll be getting Hydro Thunder). I'll look into the others since I've seen their names everywhere, but never played them before. Another game I'm curious about is the Worms game- provided it's not that 3D mess they have out now. I'm trying to fall in love with my DreamCast again since it's been a while and I just got some new AV/S-video cords. I've been having this problem where the screen is in black and white and there's no audio output. The new cables have helped, but occasionally on startup I'll have that problem again.

Old school games I've been playing:

Armored Core Project Phantasma- It's a PSX game that I've been playing on the PS2.

King of Pro Baseball- Lot's of Japanese text so it's kinda tough but the game is really fun so it's worth it. This game really should have been localized for the North American market because it has the quality level of the original Hot Shots Golf and we all know how successful that game was.

On my Xbox 360 I've gone back to playing Halo: Reach since some small improvements have been made which have brought long-time fans back to play on-line.

I've been playing the crap out of Oblivion for a while now, but I keep getting distracted by other games (as well as lesser things like college and relationships). I started playing more today, and that's when I got American McGhee's Alice in the mail from GameFly. Well actually it was Madness Returns, but I had already purchased the original Alice thinking it was an Arcade release. So I rented the game to play it and figured getting the sequel free with it was a nice bonus :P

I'll be starting that tomorrow. I played it a lot on the PC back when I was younger. That sh** was nightmare fuel.

I've started playing Portal 2 a few days ago. After I beat Dead Island, I took a few weeks off from gaming (every time I put a game in, I got bored within seconds). Now I'm on Portal 2, but I beat all of the single player and I now need to find a co-op partner. If anyone here has it for the 360, lemme know if you want to tackle the multiplayer achievements with me.

The other game I'm on now is Mafia II.... again. Well I got 1,000G within a week or two of it coming out. But now I'm going back for the DLC achievements so I can get that completion again.
