^ Those are two awesome games. Spyro 3 was always my favorite of the trilogy, ever since I was a kid. I've been trying to play video games lately, but I can't do more than five minutes without getting bored. I need to get back in the fix. The only two games I've been hooked on again recently are Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 on the Xbox (going for a No Cheats, All Goals, All Gold, All Cash, 100% run. Last time I did this was on the PS2, and I didn't get all cash, and I missed only one goal), and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (playing it again from the start. I do this every couple of months. It's still my favorite game to this day). Last year I did a 100% run with no cheats. Now I'm doing it again, but on the 360 instead of the original Xbox. Same goes for THPS4. |

Currently: Thief: Deadly Shadows (Xbox) (for the 6the or 7th time, lol) Syphon Filter 3 (PSOne) Next in the queue: Urban Chaos: Riot Response (Xbox) (just got this one from ebay, never played before) I really want to get a new 360 to replace my RROD launch model, but I keep spending all my cash on my older systems...

Occasionally when I can muster the strength I put in a little time with the Super Smash Bros. Brawl mod Project M which basically plays more like Melee. It also removes tripping and adds some additional stages. I suspect Project M is going to become the de facto SSB Brawl game to play at tournaments since it even goes as far as to remove Meta Knight for better balance. |

I'm playing some Darksiders right now trying to catch up with the second one coming out later this year. I love Joe Mad's artwork and it brings back a lot of memories from when I used to read the stuff he illustrated for Marvel and his own creation, Battle Chasers. I love the jump he did from Comics to concept art(Video Games) to creative director (Darksiders). |

It's an action RPG game. The dialog tree is reminiscent of BioWare games and the choices of what you do ripples through the different chapters of the game. If you own Witcher 1 and have saves handy, you can import your games and some of your decisions will also affect Witcher 2's story. As for the combat, it's very, very unforgiving. It's a little bit more reminiscent of Monster Hunter but it has a bit of the auto-aim to help you target foes. Geralt gets easily outflanked a lot, so a lot of the combat involves casting your signs (spells), attacking with your swords and rolling out of trouble ASAP. Comparing to Witcher 1, Witcher 2 puts ACTION more than RPG. There is a lot of killing happening on both games, but in Witcher 2, you are much more involved... and will die many times. The story is very mature and well-written but the English voice overs make me want to rip my ears out. I'm near the end of the game and the story is really good, but you have to spend almost half of the game uncrappifying Geralt before you start reaping the rewards. About halfway through Earthbound. Something about playing older games with the actual copy on the actual system is just so much more satisfying then and emulator. |

I feel like games are way better to play on the actual system with the actual cart but that's just me. Only way I would say buy the cart is if the nostalgic value is worth the price to you or if you find a really good deal on craigslist or something like I did. Then you could always sell it and make money off it if you want |

Funny... I'm the exact reverse of you. I did Mario RPG when it first came out on the SNES (I even remember calling Nintendo Power's hotline to get some answers to figure out how to do certain mini-quests, lol). I did Paper Mario about 1.5 years ago, and did Chrono Trigger this past winter. I have yet to play Earthbound, because 1.) I don't really want to play it on an emulator 2.) I don't have an SNES 3.) I don't want to pump out that much money for a cart. Sort of a catch-22 if you ask me... so unless Nintendo releases it on the Wii Virtual Console (hell will freeze over before that happens) or I give in and buy myself a SNES for nostalgia sake and come up with the money for a physical copy of the cart, I probably won't ever get around to playing it I think I'm going to get Kirby's Super Star on the Wii Virtual Console as my next game. I've played parts of it with my brother as a kid, but want to do an entire 100% save file by myself now. |

I've played all of them except the original Paper Mario when I was young. Just figured since I had Earthbound I should give it another play through and I haven't played Chrono trigger since I can't even remember. I played Mario RPG maybe a year ago but it was on an emulator so I had to play the real deal. |

Racing for Fulcon Capital
|
Although I change games being played more than DeeMoney changes his profile pic (bring back MJ!), I've settled into Formula One: Built to Win (NES). I'm having another run at it b/c it's one of the few NES games NA has yet to beat this year. F1:BTW is Rad Racer with a great career mode. You trade up cars and parts, obtain better licenses, and beat various tracks. And then something weird happens...your Ferrarri F40 turns into an formula car and you then have to beat 16 formula one tracks with a different upgrade scheme (as if two games were mashed together). I've beaten the street stage before, but not the nearly impossible F-1 stage. We'll see . . . . |

I've been playing Dead Island with a friend and I'm really enjoying it, despite the numerous bugs we've encountered. If you like co-op games then this really is worth a try. In the past few months I've also been playing Prototype 2, Sniper Elite V2, Max Payne 3, Driver San Francisco and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning... all have been good, but haven't quite kept me interested enough to finish them yet. I'll get around to it eventually.
