My friend from elementary school Doug came down to visit us from Maryland for the holiday weekend; since he's not as hardcore a gamer as he used to be we played a few of the mini games on the Wii Sports Resort disc focusing primarily on archery, table tennis and bowling. :yeah:

Tomorrow we'll probably put some time in with Mario Kart: Double Dash!! with me driving and Doug assuming the role of the backseat gunner. If he feels confident enough maybe I'll set up my GameCube LAN and we can go head-to-head. :w00t:

Using the GameCube Lan seems so much fun! I got to try it out one day; maybe with 8 players. :w00t:

Me and Doug didn't do the LAN thing today but we did play Double Dash for a while before moving on to Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

:w00t: Wow, the only thing that would make me more jealous right now would be if you owned 8 Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 systems. Heck, even 2 would drive me insane. But for now your setup has definitely turned me green... :omg:

If you lived close you'd be welcome to drop by anytime for some LAN'ed Double Dash. ;)

Sadly, Doug and I never got around to playing the game networked. :(

Concerning Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 & 2, I wish Nintendo would release them for either the Wii or Wii U because I really want to play those games so bad I can taste it. >:-]

Sounds good. I live a bit too far to drive up there (North Florida), but if I'm ever in the area I'll let you know.

And yeah, I wish they would release it too, I saw a video where a guy had gotten the software to work on a Wii, but he basically said "look what I have and you don't". He never intends to release how he did it, but hopefully someone a bit nicer will figure it out (and share) soon.

Today I played a little Kameo: Elements of Power and enjoyed it. It did seem to throw you right into the thick of things at first, though. Still, it had a decidedly Rareware feel to it which I feared it might not have so long after they left the N64.

I think I neglected to mention that I've been playing Ocarina of Time on the GameCube for my daughter. She's enjoying it, and so am I. I just arrived in the future and was trying to race for Epona but I've always had a hard time with that part. X_D

If you ever come up to the Raleigh, NC area let me know and we can sit down and play a ton of games. We can do the Double Dash LAN thing or we can play any of the other Mario Kart games as I love playing them all against human opponents.

Today I was in the mood to play a classic fighting game so rather than reaching for Killer Instinct Gold like I normally do I instead popped Weaponlord in to my SNES and gave it a spin. The game is just so hardcore that it almost makes me giggle at how seriously it takes itself. WL is not for the faint of heart though as the controls are complex enough that my friend Doug says playing a guitar is easier.

How are you playing Socom 2 online Matt? I miss playing it online.

I've just started playing Battle of Olympus. A very nice action RPG for the NES. It's actually a bit like Zelda 2 which I really enjoyed.

Played State of Decay for a few hours today and I am enjoying it quite a bit. I'm still learning some of the mechanics of the game and I'm a little miffed that some missions disappear if you don't go after them quickly (which is kind of impossible if you are already stealthily making your way through your current mission). It is still incredibly fun. Think of GTA with zombies!

That's good to hear mate, unfortunately we won't be getting the game for another little while it looks like. Bloody Australian classification people have screwed us again it seems and Undead Labs have confirmed on there Facebook page that it will be here but not until the next game update.

Oh well looks like I'm waiting this game out then. :nope:

Wow... that sounds pretty epic, Red!!
I know I bought a 1600 XBL point card online recently to take advantage of a "free 400 XBL points bonus" promotion they were doing (either Best Buy or Newegg)... wish I could find that email, and make sure they sent me a promo code (and enter it into my acct), as well as make sure the 1600 point code was going to be sent physically or emailed... gah, so disorganized!

As for me... I've been playing a whole lot of Uncharted 3 multiplayer these days... and probably will be for the next few MONTHS (minus a month starting 10 days from now, due to Last of Us). Yogurt (or anyone!) let's do some UC3 co-op sometime!!!
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Working my way through the Sly Cooper series, after completing them I would like to get the two platinum trophies for the copies of Demon Souls I have (Japanese and European versions)

I've just started getting into the PlayStation 2, and have been playing a wide range of titles on there, I've played Nights Into Dreams, which is interesting, since its the version of the game the modern digital releases are based on, with "new graphics" etc, However its a Japanese only release , Ideally looking to get ahold of the Nightopia Dream pack some day. I've also been playing Viewtiful Joe, easy title to find and great fun, also playing Socom Multiplayer

On the PC front, I've played some Arma and another thing that I can't quite talk about yet

Somehow or another I managed to get zero gaming in today so I haven't had any more time with State of Decay since yesterday. I love it, though. It is really fun and explores multiple genres of gaming in one title alone. I'll get back to it in the next few days, I'm sure. I hope it comes out your way soon.
