Its a fun game with a lot of different game genre aspects all in one open world zombie game. Had The Last Of Us not come out a week later I might have given it more of my time back then. |

Still playing me some Max Payne 3. Trying (and pretty epically failing) to complete "New York Minute Hardcore"... where you literally have to beat the entire game in "New York Minute" mode (meaning, you start with 1 minute on the clock ticking down, and every kill nets you 5-10 additional seconds, depending on how you made the kill)... all done in one sitting without a single death. You can pause, thankfully, but that also means you have to jump right back in where you left off, meaning no "warm-up" time. If I can do this, it will be one of the hardest things I've done in video games since... probably winning all golds in the Elite campaign of WipEout HD. Just got the rest of the week off from work, so I'm DETERMINED to get this done. Tomorrow.

Good luck mate. That sounds like one hell of a mission. How many hours do you think that would take?? |

Good luck... yes, I will certainly need a good bit of that!! I hear that if you play continuously with no breaks and skipping all skippable cut-scenes, then it's a bit over 3 hours. With cut-scenes makes it closer to 5 hours. I take pretty frequent breaks though... which means it'll probably take me all day.

I realized that I hadn't unlocked all the stages in Super Smash Bros. Melee so now I'm trying to complete all the Target Tests with every character. Young Link's test stage is proving to be insanely hard for me.

So I booted up the Wii the other day for the first time in... well, too long! My better half wanted to play a game, and when this happens, we usually end up playing either Scrabble or Iota (both great traditional games), but I figured it might be a nice change to actually play one of the myriad co-op friendly video games I have lying around. So after looking at a couple candidates (Rhythm Heaven Fever almost won the pick), I queued up a somewhat obscure and bargain-bin-esque "Guilty Party". It was the 2nd time we've played it, but the first time we really got past the first intro/tutorial chapter. It was pretty fun!! A very family-friendly game with a nice mix of board game elements, (now-infamous) Wii mini-games, and deduction... with only the faintest hint of competition (so far) in the cooperative play. Hopefully we remember how to play for the 3rd chapter the next time we boot it up... which might be in another year or so.

Currently playing: Guild Wars 2, Minecraft (PC) and Final Fantasy VI (SNES) on a semi regular basis. Talk about some games that will suck away all your free time if you let them! But Tuesday nights I devote to playing a different retro game. Tonight it's Top Gear Rally! One of my all time favorite racing games! Boss Studios cranked out some amazing racers on the N64. IMO |

I'm still on a fighting game frenzy so now I'm playing Virtua Fighter 4 on the PlayStation 2. This game is simply amazing with some of the best graphics that the PS2 has to offer and gameplay as deep the land of the rising sun. Surprisingly, for all its depth, VF4 is as easy to pick up and play as any Tekken game from that era so hopefully I can get my friend Steven to try it next time he comes over expecting to crush me at SSB.

Finished Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (Premium Edition) yesterday, as well as Pokemon Y the day before. Finished the Early Access beta of Dungeon Dashers early this morning and now I'm pushing my way through Battlefield 4. I've also turned on The Guided Fate Paradox (PS3) and watched in the intro... but I'll save that for the weekend. |

Just started playing Chronotrigger for the first time and 15 minutes in i can see why this game is praised as one of the best ever. Looking forward to playing through it EDIT: Like 7 hours later, my god this game is fantastic, I can't believe I've had it sitting on my shelf for 5 months before playing it. Not sure how fair in I am but I'm loving it. I need to give more games a chance haha Edited by hockeylife21, Nov 3 2013, 07:53 PM.

Chronotrigger is another one of my "Bucket List" games, and I gotta play at some point. A friend of mine had it when I was a kid, but I wanted nothing to do with games like that at the time. I'd love to have the SNES cart, but price will probably dictate I end up playing it on the VC. |

I had been waiting for a PC version for so long and when it finally came I just couldn't pull the trigger. It was $30 on Steam for quite awhile and I came close so many times. I am glad I waited, though. |

Man, what a great game that is! I used to crank the surround sound up and turn the lights out and that game would completely suck me in. It's always amazed me how polarizing the game is. Some people love it, others hate it. It's probably my favorite Gamecube game for me. |

Just finished my first play-through of Puppeteer... and what a fun, satisfying game!! (And it couldn't be any more different than the last game I played/loved... being Max Payne 3. )For any of you PS3 owners pining for a "Nintendo-like" platformer (that happens to be a PS3-exclusive), you should really look into this one! |

Started playing Rift again on the PC. It's been a long long while since I had played this game, and I was surprised to learn that it is now free to play and not subscription based any longer. That's a win in my books

Not sure why im starting up so many games with 2 huge releases coming on friday in mario 3d world and lttp2 but I just started playing eternal darkness and i really wish the sequel hit the kickstarter goal but unfortunately the horror genre is pretty niche so it didn't get funded, enjoying it so far though. Oh and I just got to stone tower temple in majora's mask so wish me luck with that i guess hah |

eternal darkness is a work of art. the story is badass. all these tormented characters, a story that spans history. you know you have a quality game at your hands when even a crackling torch can give you goosejumps. love messing around with spells. so many games are story focused but they are either too cliché or too boring. none of this in eternal darkness. never will you think "i saw that coming" or "they just did this to cover up a plot hole". everything makes sense. i can't recommend this game enough. |
