After putting up my first TRS' Favorite Games video for The X-Files game on PC I just had to do a replay of it. I've become somewhat obsessed with finding out how I could livestream it on Twitch but I don't know if I have what it would take to do so. Anyway, I'm loving it, as usual. |

Head-deep in Steel Diver : Sub Wars at the moment. lovely game and free to play so every 3DS owner should give it spin. The v1.1 update solved most of the connection issues and if you do disconnect, your winning streak record won't be affected! |

i'm really enjoying ground zeroes at the moment! finally a game that's not linear or handholding. just one big base to infiltrate to your hearts content.i heard the stories about the 2 hour lenght. i think these stories are ridiculous. how long you play is completely up to you. i compare it to going bicycling: you yourself decides when to quit. ok, there is technically a storyline to complete which is indeed very short. which is immediately it's strongest point. i'm just sick and tired of cutscenes in videogames lately. play five minutes, watch 15 minutes of cutscenes...yawn. so i popped in MGS5, and the first thing i did was skip the cutscene. not interested. so then i was dropped in the action field, and i oversaw the base that i was just about to infiltrate. didnt have a clue what my "mission" was, not interested either. i just decided to roam the base like a ghost and have a play with the guards. yesterday evening was my first playing session and boy before i knew it 2 hours passed, not giving a hoot about my mission. just messing around in the base. i can already see i have barely scratched the surface of what this incredible game has to offer. i really have to put up a big finger to the whiners who say there isnt enough cutscenes or story. i figure they expect a 15 hour long movie where you press "X" sometimes in a QTE. not so in this game though, this game is a gift to people who want to put some effort in their games and be creative with the tools they are given. it has endless replay value. Well, after over a decade of serving me with portable fun, my Game Boy Advance SP's connector port finally stopped working. Yep that means I can no longer charge the handheld up, which puts my run through Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel on hiatus. Hm...I'm not having much luck completing games recently, huh? I've decided to start on one of my recently bought PS2 games. When my friend doesn't have free time to play through Kingdom Hearts with me, I'll be playing Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Let's just hope my PS2 doesn't decide to explode or anything. Oh and I forgot to mention this, but I play Pokemon Y for the 3DS almost every day as well. I've beaten the game long ago, but now I'm trying to fill up my Pokedex. I'm also up for trading 3DS friend codes for Friend Safari and online battles, so send me a message if you're interested. UPDATE: After beating Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, I moved straight on to Jak II. I'm still playing through Kingdom Hearts and filling my Pokedex on Pokemon Y. I'm also kind of playing through Crash Bash for PlayStation, but only when I feel like it. The game really isn't all that good. List of games I'm currently playing (UPDATED 3/29/14): - Kingdom Hearts for PlayStation 2 - Crash Bash for PlayStation - - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for Nintendo GameCube Edited by EnvyFox, Mar 28 2014, 11:48 PM.

I've been playing the FFX/X-2 Remaster almost exclusively for the past few days. But this afternoon my son wanted to play some Mario. ![]() He's 2 years old and can't make it past the first ghost, but we played this level pretty much constantly for 20 minutes. Pretty sure he thought the point of it WAS to let the ghost get Mario, so in his mind I think he was winning!

can't get enough of street fighter II lately, this is such a perfect game. i like all three versions of the snes. sometimes i prefer the simplicity of the original one, then i play turbo. the controls are utterly responsive and the game is incredibly tactical also playing super mario world, donkey kong country, turtles in time, super castlevania IV and vampire's kiss kartmaster, your son can play games at 2 years old that's incredible! my son is almost that age (18 months old) but i guess he would just put throw the controller on the ground (he likes to destroy stuff. yeah.

So I'm almost done golding all AMG Driving Academy Special Events in GT5... only 4 (supposedly easy) events remain (out of 20). I've pretty much literally spent every free moment I've had for the past 2 weeks driving the Nürburgring Nordschleife (which, FYI, is pretty much faithfully re-created from the actual course!), and at this point, I think I can drive the entire 24.4 km blindfolded. Backwards. With my feet. I was about 5 seconds slower than this guy... but this was essentially what I had to pull off for one of the AMG events: ...and just for (GT5 vs. real life) comparisons' sake...

Just a few minutes ago beat the gold time for the Grand Tour Eiger Nordwand Short Track time trial in GT5. Basically one of the hardest challenges in the game, and one of the hardest things I've done in gaming yet... at least since my time with WipEout HD about 5 years ago. Been working at this for about a week, my right thumb tip is literally numb to the bone (using the steering wheel was starting to hurt my elbow with all the crazy 180 hairpin turns), and I vowed I would celebrate with dinner if I managed to accomplish this tonight. (I was honestly prepared to go to bed hungry if I didn't!) And now my eyes are set on the Vettel challenges next... which people say are EVEN HARDER. We'll see if WipEout HD remains at the top of the difficulty curve... So yeah. I mentioned how GT5 has been ruling my life. NOT REALLY EXAGGERATING. ![]() Anyways... now it's time for some Chipotle!!!

A lot of Call of Duty: World at War on PC, and a lot of Duke Nukem 64. I don't like the 'modern' shooters. I much prefer bygone era settings, such as WWII in WaW. Old, tatty guns that do big damage, with huge recoil. It's the goriest COD, as well. Explosions, and even certain guns will cause dismemberment. Nazi Zombies is really cool, as well. Duke Nukem 3D is one of my all-time favourite games, ever. I'm loving revisiting DN64. I had it back in the day on my original PAL console, and it was the first version of Duke Nukem 3D that I ever owned. I'd played it before at a friend's on his PC, but did not have a computer of my own. By the time the console ports came out, I had an N64. So Duke Nukem, 64 is what I got. Great remix of a classic game. Duke Nukem was such a great character before they ruined him in Forever.. I digress. This is such an amazing N64 game. You should all get it and play it! Also of note, I never managed to get this one working right on any emulator. One of those where real hardware is the way to go. Well, it's always the way to go if you ask me. But I'm an N64 fanboy, and I would say that! |

Anyone wanna take a stab at what game I'm playing?? I'll give you a hint. It starts with the letter "G". And ends with "ran Turismo 5". Give up?!?? Anyways, just last night managed to pull off a winning time on my 3rd and final "Vettel challenge". This was supposedly the hardest challenge in the game, but I felt the previous track (Nurburgring GP/F) was more difficult, and the Grand Tour Eiger Nordwand time trial was even tougher still. So ALAS... WipEout HD remains the hardest game I've ever played. But GT5 sure gave it a good run!! ![]() At this point, I feel like I know Nurburgring Nordschleife (and GP/F), Suzuka International, and Autodromo Nazionale Monza tracks like the back of my hand.

So this weekend's been a bit weird for me, in that I had the house to myself AND haven't been actively playing GT5. I mean, I HAVE been running the game all weekend long (literally!) but I've been doing the two 24-hour races in B-spec, and my driver/car combo need no management whatsoever. So with no gf-related obligations nor GT5 to keep me busy, I've found myself with an astounding amount of time on my hands, heh. I cleaned up around the house, cut my hair, watched Batman: Year One (HIGHLY recommended, BTW) and a whole bunch of episodes of Cowboy Bebop, and finally, took an adventurous (yet strained) gander into the world of video games that exists OUTSIDE of Gran Turismo. ( !!) Strained because though I have hundreds of games at the ready to play, I didn't feel the desire to play any of them. What did I play? Well, some Hydro Thunder (on the 360), some Fragile Dreams (Wii), Wave Race: Blue Storm, F-Zero GX, Mario Kart Wii, and Wipeout Fusion (PS2). Literally didn't realize this until now, as I see what I listed... but I guess you could say there's a little bit of a racing trend. The only game that really "stuck" was Mario Kart Wii... as all the others I hadn't played for more than half an hour or so. As amazing as it might seem, this was actually my first "real" sit-down with the game since I bought it at launch. (It was actually my first time playing all those other games too.) What did I think?? It was FUN!! Well... up until 150cc, that is. I'd zipped through golding everything in 50cc and 100cc, and while there were some frustrating moments, they were few and far between. After Golding the first 150cc grand prix (Mushroom Cup), 150cc seemed like it was NOTHING BUT those kind of (frustratingly UNFAIR) moments. Ah well... I'll just have to settle with the fact that Nintendo had different priorities, not to mention a different demographic, in mind (than what I'd prefer) when they made the game. I'm sure (or at least, HOPING) it'll be amazing, but as blasphemic a it is, I think I'm a bit more interested in checking out the Sega All-Stars racers (or even revisiting Modnation Racers) than playing MK8 right now.

Ahh...Mario Kart Wii.... I feel your pain in that 150cc and from memory, i beleive the mirror cup was no different in difficulty and bulls**t last minute cuffs from the computer, I had 1 or 2 more gold to get and I never ended up getting them, I was only missing Rosalina, But I no longer have my Wii

I finally found the time to start and finish Twilight Princess, which was waaaay overdue. I've gotta say, I've kept myself away from spoilers/reviews so well that I thought this game actually had a bad reception. As I progressed I started thinking "what the heck... this installment is pretty good". When I completed it I start reading the reviews and turns out it got very good scores ![]() After completing it I begin to think about a few things that were a bit annoying, some general complaints and how the story could have been better. But all in all I was amazingly surprised about how great the game was. Now I've got until 2015 to get Skyward Sword before the new game comes to the WiiU. |

Played some NBA Hangtime yesterday. Another Midway classic. The players are from 1996, so I love that too. Been playing with the Hawks and foregoing the crazy dunks because Mookie Blaylock can DRAIN the three-pointers. Like many current NBA players, I still need to learn how to play defense ... I am apparently mashing the wrong buttons, lol. |
