Haha I do the same thing with games and TV shows. Sometimes I never go back though, so I am trying to just finish them these days. I started Super Metroid today. Something I have been wanting to do for a few months! I just keep playing other games instead though. I beat Metroid Fusion recently also, so that may have been why I held back starting this one for so long. I beat Kraid, then saved and turned it off. Now that I am at work though I am missing it. It's a great game so far! It reminds me a lot of the GBA Metroid series. Edited by LivingGhandi, Mar 30 2015, 12:16 AM.

Dude, Super Metroid is a great game...one of my all time favorites. Enjoy it! Still crawling along in Captain Toad; just a few levels left. Such a fun chill game. Just so little me time with the Wii U lately, which is why... Played a bunch of Tank! Tank! Tank! with my daughter this weekend. It's not Shakespeare, but pop fiction can be fun to in doses. She really amazes me as a gamer. You have to beat the same levels with a bunch of different tanks to unlock the higher levels (a feature reviewers panned). But she got it and didn't care one bit. It was fun sticking it to that 3-headed dragon again and again after he whipped us good the first many times. |

buddy, Awesome! It is one I want.. when I find it cheap enough to buy ![]() bluedog, that's pretty great playing with her. I wish my dad played games with me growing up! Captain Toad is something I need in my life. I just don't have the $ for it so I will wait to find one at a good price. I typically only buy games new when it's something I REALLY look forward to. Super Metroid kept my attention as if I were on Ritalin earlier today. I played it for hours... Didn't get too far though because that game is like Mega man mixed with Zelda 1! Semi hard and secrets everywhere so you gotta shoot every wall and blow up every inch of ground

That's a great deal, buddy! I was lucky to get it on a buy one (gift) get one at 50% off (me) in December (still not close to 10 pounds). The eBay prices are pretty strong and I wonder if it will be one of those first party games that just does not come down significantly. That and it's really fun. Looking forward to adding a Toad Amiibo, too. |

Toad Amiibo added! Played Captain Toad with it last night...pretty cool. You have to scan toad each time you play a level to find toad. Some cute 8-bit animation ensues. Then you enter the level in a special mode. Coins and stars are irrelevant...its all about finding a well-hidden tiny pixelated toad. (It is even harder to find toad if you fail to scan the toad amiibo before entering the level, which I may have done once ).When toad is found, tap on him, and then the level is complete and a cool achievement stamp is added to the level page. Also logged more Tank! Tank! Tank! time in campaign mode. Up to Level 20ish (of 36). Looks, feels, plays like an coin-op arcade game (which is fine by me!). Complex? No. Fun? Yes! Yes! Yes! |

One of the games I really didnt like on the N64 was Super Mario 64. I've never been able to get into this game but over the last two days I've given it a very good try. Currently on Course 10 and loving it. Its amazing how good a game can become if you really give it a good try. Hopefully finish this one before I go back to work next week. |

Haha, sure is! I don't even know what the purpose of this game is... There's no main menu or introduction whatsoever; booting the game leads to a black screen ( seems like a freeze but really is just a rather long loading screen ) and the game is just totally broken! Most of the functionalities don't work, I got stuck in a bunch of different places and easily came into that map hole...I just quickly read up on it and it looks like it's supposed to be a Playstation Home-type game on PS4... I'm totally not getting a homey vibe from this game and it's only single player from what I noticed. Still, I got a hell of a good laugh from this and the video was fun to make too! Been playing Top Gear Rally, NBA Hangtime, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on my N64. Ordered a memory card for my system off of Amazon so I'll probably play them even more once I get that so I can actually save my progress :p I also ordered Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko off there as well, so it shouldn't be too long before I'm playing that as well.

With Pokemon Blue in the books, it's time to knock out a few quick Super Nintendo games. Starting with Mortal Kombat II since I've already beaten the original a few days ago. UPDATE: Well that didn't take long. Not that I expected it to be, mind you. Anyway, I'm moving from the gorey MKII to the cheerful, colorful world of smacking racers with turtle shells. Time for Super Mario Kart.

After beating Super Mario Kart (which, by the way, is the hardest game in the series IMO), I'm going to relax with what I assume is going to be an easy game. It's time for me to play The Fairly OddParents: Breakin' Da Rules for Nintendo GameCube. @Option33 - I highly recommend getting A Link Between Worlds if you enjoy top-down Zelda games. It has become my favorite game in the series and I still enjoy facing other people's Shadow Links via Street Pass. Edited by EnvyFox, Apr 20 2015, 02:45 PM.

Good bye social life is correct haha I pumped about 30+ hours into the PS3 version and am slowly going through the PS4 version with about 20+ hours currently logged. To say GTA V is a good game would be an understatement. No wonder it takes them so long to bring the next one out Although there is a few people here that would have pumped huge amount of hours playing it online. |

The Fairly OddParents: Breakin' Da Rules has been beaten and I now hop back to the Super Nintendo with Star Fox. I remember borrowing an SNES from a family friend for a few weeks as a preteen and could never get very far in this game. My gaming skills have improved since then, so I'm hoping I now have what it takes to beat this one. Although, if this series started out like the Mario Kart series did, I'm in trouble. UPDATE: Well that didn't take long. Of course, I didn't know I was playing on the game's easy setting. Maybe I'll kick it up a notch later this year. For now, though, I'm going to try one of the N64 games I bought recently: Blues Brothers 2000. Edited by EnvyFox, Apr 23 2015, 07:27 PM.

Revisiting Super Mario 3D Land. Never played it beyond World 1-1 because i bought three other games at the same time. But it's really good, full of inventive level design with some clever puzzles and lots of finely-tuned learning curves. Quite easy to play through but fiendishly difficult to 100% it. Surprise hit: Pokemon Shuffle. I never could get into the regular Pokemon games - stat screens and strategery are not my thing at all. But I like this one. The basic gameplay is simple, solid and nicely executed. I know this "free to play" game is intended to suck the dollars out of your eShop wallet but there's no real need to spend any money unless you're impatient. Still playing a lot of MK8; the Animal Crossing DLC pack is really excellent even though it cost me dearly in VR points. Edited by Mk II, May 5 2015, 09:51 AM.

I'm kinda bummed that I don't have more time currently to sink into some gaming, but I've just been super busy with work and establishing my backyard. Maybe this weekend I might be able to

Just got started on The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. The story seems to take itself a bit more seriously than Spyro on the PlayStation. Not sure if I'll like that too much, but what will be important is the gameplay. |
