i'm trying to finish perfect dark SP on secret agent, first time ever, but its more difficult than i expected.

i'm blown away! almost every level has additional areas on secret agent  I didn't know this!

feels like playing this game for the first time.

i must say that these "extra" rooms / areas are enough to make me love perfect dark single player more than goldeneye, something i never though was possible 8)

My Pokemon Shuffle addiction made me delve into my game vault and i've unearthed my copy of Puzzle League DS. One of those games i've picked up for next to nothing, just to beef up the collection. But it's actually quite a good little "push stuff around" puzzler with plenty of game modes that'll keep you happy and busy for a while.

After owning the game for about a year, I'm finally starting on Super Metroid. I have a very good feeling about this as many consider it an SNES masterpiece. Honestly, I don't know what took me so long.

You are in for a treat as Super Metroid is one of the best SNES games ever with graphics and soundtrack of the highest standard.
Very intense and atmospheric and certainly not "too easy".
Quite a steep learning curve in the beginning but once you get a few power ups it is very rewarding.

More Mario Kart 8 for me tonight. Finally 3 starred the new circuits in 150cc. Have noooooo idea how I'm going to beat Super Bell in 200cc. It was a beast in 150cc. Except for Big Blue. Great course :yeah:

I`m playing Wolfenstein New The Old Blood at this moment and .. well.. New Order was better

New The Old Blood has focused more on sneaky attacks and when you trigger a alarm, its really hard to get out,

Other then that, looks great!

edit: New = old .. lol

I'm looking forward to that one Vinyl. I think I'll be picking it up today.

As for me, got my copy of Dying Light in the mail yesterday and had a few hours with it last night. So far so good. Has a real Far Cry feel to it. Reviews have been mixed. I think I'll save my judgement until I've spent more time with it :D

Wolfenstein New The Old Blood

Old blood? Hah!
I'm old enough to have played the original Castle Wolfenstein on the Apple IIe.
Now that was groundbreaking!

--Mario Kart 64 (for the Hot Lap thread)
--Mario Kart 8 (raced online with mandalore last night at 200cc; so very fast. Probably need to step down from the Metal Mario weigh class, but I do so love to go fast)
--Tropical Freeze. Nudging along. Finally beat the pufferfish boss; the swimming really demands wrestling with the controls and plotting your moves in advance. Deceiptively hard. On to Level 5.

Finally getting truly started with my second attempt at Soul Reaver 2. Now I can figure out what made me stop playing two years ago and if it was really that bad.

Keep at it. Tropical Freeze is a game that requires some quick reflexes and perfectly timed and angled jumps, but it never gets stale or outright cheap in my opinion. Here's to you beating the end game boss some day. :yeah:

Started playing James Bond 007 in Agent Under Fire. It's one of those 007 games not based off of a movie or book. A bit of warning: if you're used to modern FPS games, change the controls to setup 2.

Also, my friend and I started on Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland. I wish we had a better game to play together (that we haven't beaten) but, for now, this is the best we've got.

I'm finally giving something other than World of Warcraft and Garry's Mod some ample time to play: Fable II.

I had played the first hour or two before but this time I'm sticking with it to completion.

Anyone else disappointed with the Arkham knight, for me the batmobile spoils it a bit. I;ve only played a little over an hour but so far most of that has been in the batmobile. Even in sections where you would normally be in a building fighting they;ve manged to cram the batmobile in.

i hate stuff like this

it's a combination of gimmicks and laziness on the part of the developers: rail sections take less effort to develop than fully fledged and free roaming level layouts.

we see it in many forms in modern video games: forced walking, invisible boundaries, no backtracking, cutscenes that you can't click away, sections where if you wander off the chosen path for more than two meters you're instantly killed (some modern military shooters), QTE's, .... the developers these days are very creative when it comes to limiting player's freedom while giving an illusion of freedom.

Assassin's Creed III gave me the impression that the part of the game that it was showcasing would be like the trailer. I tried to attempt it and all I got was the desynchronized screen. I didn't even get shot! It gave you the impression of a game with freedom, which is exactly what you were saying.

Well I've been playing it for a few hours now and it's improved. I guess they were just trying to get you used to the Batmobile as now I dont have to use it so much. Still prefer the on foot parts more than when you have to use the Batmobile.

I love the scale of the city though, so much in it that I guess running and flying eveywhere would get a bit old.

I've been playing Crackdown recently. I actually started in 2013, but I kinda just put it away and only now I'm visiting it. It's not bad, but not the kind of thing you'd play for HOURS at a time.

I have gotten into my Harvest Moon mode again (thanks to a friend buying a Game Boy Game off ebay and sending a photo). I've been playing Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town (first time), and so far I love it. HM 64 is one of my favorite games and this feel just like it. Similar characters, same player you control, and they fixed allot of things in HM 64 that I though needed improvements. Things like a button combo to quickly change tools without entering the menu screen, or pulling out produce items without entering the menu screen. Very solid game but I am only in summer of year 1. Ill let you know how it goes.

My friend and I are currently playing through Resident Evil: Revelations. We're already at the beginning of episode 3 and I'm glad to see the series return (somewhat) to it's survival horror routes even if it isn't in a main game. These new creatures are just as scary as the zombies of old.

When I'm by myself, however, I'm trying to beat Star Fox on the level 2 path. This isn't nearly as easy as level 1 and I can currently only get to the third area before biting the dust. Here's hoping I improve soon. :D

My friend and I have just truly started our playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess yesterday. Obviously, we have a long way to go, but we would be pretty disappointed if a main LoZ game ended too quickly.

As for solo play, I'm going through the career mode of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, but that won't be for very long as I've already taken down two of the (I'm guessing) three competitions and all of the levels in between. Not 100% this one (at least for now), but I do want gold medals for each competition stage.

UPDATE: THPS3 has been beaten and I've since moved on to Pac-Man World 2. I'm almost at the halfway point (it's not a long game) and I'm having a good time with it so far partially due to the better camera. It has it's own share of problems, but at least it's not like the camera in the first game.

Slowly making my way through Rare Replay, 3 games down (not sure how to list these in the "games you've completed" topic, list them one by one or wait for me to beat all 30?
