I started Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE yesterday. Quick takeaways: lots of talky talky (meh), text messages (more meh, I avoid my own phone when gaming, I really don't want emoticon filled fake texts), awesome combat that combines standard Persona weaknesses with Fire Emblems sword/sphere/axe and then adds on a really cool combo system, styled graphics that are okay, and really fantastic presentation - beautiful menus etc.

I'm still hopping all over the place but after completing Until Dawn awhile back I started games of both Odin Sphere Leifthrasir and Alien Isolation. Alien Isolation is a very effective horror/stealth experience and Odin Sphere is maybe just a little too much of a button masher for my taste but I like it and it is definitely a gorgeous game.

@StYoung: just so i get this right, the game sends text messages to your mobile phone...as if the characters were texting you?

I think he means the in-game characters send you texts to your in-game cell phone, like they do in... ummm... well the only examples I can think of are GTA and Catherine, so... maybe not a common feature in Nintendo games?
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Correct. Hahah texts to your actual phone would be horrifying.

I don't know what the texting is like in Catharine, but from what I remember in GTA it was always hey meet here etc. In TMS it's full on iPhone style full conversation texts, but with those giant Facebook sticker things thrown in too...

@dj I never thought TMS would be a system seller haha! But it is fantastic. If you're into that side of Japanese culture then you'll really love it. Like I previously said, I'm not but the base game is great enough for me to enjoy it.

I am huge into Asian Pop atm so I think I would like it.
They are promoting it and have it as a prize on SBS Pop Asia this week!
That's where I heard of it.

It's a console I wouldn't mind having anyway, but just don't see myself having the time to play it much these days...😖

@stinger: I remember when I first saw Goat simulator I thought it was silly, but something I might enjoy.
Mau be I should give it a dig.

Reminds me of watching some European dudes playing Farming simulator 2014 or something on twitch with techno music playing over the top.
Bizarre but oh so right!

It is indeed silly. If you are easily entertained and aren't expecting something amazing, it can be a good bit of fun. I recommend watching some videos on youtube to make sure you would like it :)

Borrowed Uncharted: A Thief's End from a family member this weekend. I beat it yesterday morning after 12 hours or so. I am on my second run through now, with about an hour to go. I can't say enough about the game. To say it is action packed is an understatement :yeah: The story is a wild ride, and a true adventure!

Just started a file on Vice City on the Xbox continuing my GTA surge (completed III & IV the last month or two). Still as fun as it was back in the day!

Started Life is Strange Last Thursday. It is an interesting game. I finished episode 1 so far. Saturday night I started Little Big Planet 3 with my daughter. I really like this addition of the new types of players. Felt like the best LBP so far!

Was playing super Mario All Stars and Mario Party 9 both on wii with my big sister, who came up to visit with her husband ,we were mainly focusing on Super Mario Brothers 3 and we got up to world 6 and then saved it and then she had to go ,but next time she comes to visit , we will finish it, it was fun and we plan to finish it whenever they come up again. I also have been playing tons of Banjo Kazooie and some of Kirby 64 ,making great progress on them, as well I'm up to gobi's valley, on Banjo Kazooie and on i think world 3 of Kirby 64.

Almost done with Red Dead Redemption for the third time. Already completed 100% twice before, along with Undead Nightmare.

I always liked Rockstar games, but RDR is quickly becoming one of my favorite games of all time. Simply amazing through and through. I cannot wait until another one comes out. I never preorder games or buy new but I will with that one. Take my money, Rockstar... take my money.

Playing through Gears of war 2 for the second time. I hated this game when I completed it a few years ago but having played through the ultimate version of GOW recently I have a new found love for the series. Weird how that can happen

Still plowing through Hitman. Absolutely loving it. Got 100% on two of the three levels so far. Excited to see a new level/episode drop the 16th. I wasn't sure what to think of the episodic release, but I kind of like it. Keeps you coming back for more, and with little breaks so you don't get burned out. I have also taken out two elusive targets to date. Gary Busey (yes that Gary Busey) my first night playing it. I placed 11,000 something in score on it  On the one that launched this weekend I placed 51st. Yay for improvement :yeah:

You really take out "the" Gary Busey in the game? Haha.

I've been playing a fair amount of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Enjoying it so far, but it's pretty light fare. Nice to have another use for the Amiibo cards, but they aren't a game changer by any means.

Also played some Super Off-Road on NES last night. Man that game is so fantastic. I remember pumping quarters in those stand-up cabinets with the steering wheels. Still holds up today.

Those cabinets were HUGE!!! Four glimmering chrome steering wheels off each one!

I've been also playing my NES. While the kids are loving Punch-Out!! on the Wii, I've been playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out !! Finally made it to Tyson . . . he's more brutal that I even remembered!

Yes. They had a contest a couple months ago where you could vote for Gary Cole (from Office Space) or Gary Busey. Busey won. You followed Gary Cole and his body guards down to Gary Busey and his body guards. A huge crazy argument takes place, and then you have one chance. Mine wasn't pretty since I didn't know the city layout very well. I distracted and subdued his guards one at a time. Then shot him through an open door while he sang to a building  The crime was spotted, but I didn't get caught. Sloppy, but worked.

I think you would like it. At the rate the episodes are dropping, and given there are 3 more to go, it will likely be 6 months or better before a disc option I bet.

I would have much preferred to have a disc copy, but this way I don't miss out on elusive targets that appear between now and then (like Busey). I am anxious for you to try it when the time comes :yeah:
