I played the first 1/4th of The Last Guardian today at a friends house. I can't say much that already hasn't been said better by others but it's good. It's more puzzley with less combat and exploring than Shadow of the Colosuss but it feels mostly the same, the controls are different though which I'm still not used to. It's is a very strange genre to see in triple A mainstream attention today but it is very good stuff for people who enjoy this type of game. I like Shadow of the Colosuss gameplay better but this fits right in with that series and style. My friend who grew up in the 16-bit era says it's a game he'll remember playing for the rest of his life and that it's his favorite game past the playstation generation. It's crazy to see "hardcore gamers " complain about bad controls while this relic from another era played and loved it with almost no experience with modern games whatsoever.

Playing through DKC on the SNES. Didn;t have a SNES as a kid so this is the first time I have really played it. Its a great game, frustrating in places but in the way that when you die its "ok one more go". Can't believe I left it so long to play it. |

Playing through Ghost Recon Wildlands which I won on Xbox One. Pumped 36 hours into it so far and am not that close to taking down the cartel boss yet. Great game, really loving the open world. |

My cousin got the Persona 5 take your heart edition and we are playing the game right now. About 2 hours in and of course it has a slow intro and is giving tutorials for things I already know but as someone who enjoyed Persona 3 I am having a lot of fun with this one. I am confident I will enjoy it for at least one playthrough but hopefully the story doesn't fall apart once you look at it as a whole. Maybe I just nitpick too much. By all accounts the gameplay is still just as good and I like some of the darker themes I'm seeing already |

I wish I owned an Xbox One so I could play Killer Instinct! Maybe I'll get an Xbox Scorpio but if I do then I'd have to upgrade my television to a 4K model to really make the whole experience worthwhile. Not sure I want to go through all the bother as I already own a PlayStation 4. Sadly, Street Fighter V (which is exclusive to the PS4 and PC) really isn't very good. Fighting games are one of my favorite genres, though, so now I'm mostly playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 which is arguably one of the greatest fighters of all time. Personally, I prefer it to Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike which I also own but rarely ever touch. When I do playing fighting games on my PS4 it's usually Mortal Kombat XL because it's a game that my friends can easily get in to. Surprisingly, in some ways it's even more accessible than Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U. Sm4sh is a great party game for four players but 1-on-1 it gets tedious because of the game's inherent defensive nature. |

I'm in the middle of my annual blast of Goldeneye. Completed every level and unlocked all cheats up until the Caverns level. Always takes me a few go's to own this level and in such a way to unlock the 2x RCP-90 cheat on 00 Agent. Did Control on 00 first time Buddy - owned.

I picked up a backward-compatible PS3 recently to use exclusively for PSX and PS2 games, and I also picked up Bungie's Oni yesterday, so I'm digging into that. The PS2 port still isn't great but the game is quite good, and I found I grasped the controls better by just diving in and skipping the tutorial. Shame the IP died. |

I'm mostly playing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered on my PlayStation 4. When IW original launched the netcode was awful but it's been improved dramatically over time and now the game plays great. When I want a slower paced more strategic first-person-shooter I switch over to MWR. I'm counting the days until the WipEout Omega Collection is released next month. Really looking forward to finally playing the three games included in the compilation. |

I am currently blasting through Medal of Honor: Frontline on the GC. Not played this in years!! Enjoying it so far. So many parts similar to the film - Saving Private Ryan. @Buddy - Yeah I wish I could film it well just don't have the equipment. It is not too difficult to make it to the part where you defend Natalia, with full health and body armour (from the top level of control room) so that should help. I also always destroy all the tables other than the one the computer she uses is on because they just get in the way. Then you just need to be quick at dropping the guards as they come. Try aim up and shoot guards before they get down the stairs as they either shoot at Natalia or get shots off at you which waste precious health. Also listen out for glass smashing as guards come from the sides and try gun down Natalia. If they have broken the glass another still may come so keep checking that section after just in case another comes back! |

back in the day I could do it but now I just find it quite difficult. Guess I just need more practice again with the manual aiming, Playing BoTw at the moment and I have to say its quite impressive and really easy to loose hours playing it. I feel a little disappointed that you can't collect heart pieces in the wild and have to collect them via the shrines. |

My son and I just started playing Tekken: Tag Team Tournament 2 (Wii U). I'm not one for fighting games, but it looks great and isn't too hard to pick up, and some of the characters are really fun (Tiger Jackson!!) My son absolutely loves it. Interestingly, I'm the button masher; he has mastered a few moves that he repeats really well (like the nearly indefensible Axe Kick of Armored King). Curious to know where Tekken ranks in the pantheon of fighters . . . . |

For the first time in almost three months (since I bought that first fish tank ) I played some video games. Just about to wrap up on another run though Uncharted 4. I had borrowed it this past summer. I went ahead and bought it last week. Too good of a game not to own!

@BDR: I have very fond memories of Tekken on the PlayStation (before it was called a PS1, it was 1997!) My bro had it, and I got to play it occasionally, looked cool and was fun to play. Cool characters, but what 90s fighter didn't have that? |

I'm playing Crash Team Racing from the PS1 era. Obviously I like its contemporary Mario Kart 64 better but CTR does a really nice Super Mario Kart (SNES) imitation when played in 2-player mode. |

There's been a recent update to CTGP Revolution that added the Crash Team Racing track Cortex Castle so that's what I've been playing. Really makes me hope that eventually a new CTR will get released on the PlayStation 4. Just 10 days until the WipEout Omega Collection gets released on the PS4, though. |

I'm playing WipEout Omega Collection on the PlayStation 4. I downloaded it yesterday and haven't been able to put it down. The graphics are drop-dead gorgeous, the controls are buttery smooth and the sense of speed is easily on par with F-Zero GX. This collection is value packed for me since I've never played any of the three games in the compilation (WipEout HD, WipEout HD Fury and WipEout 2048) before since I don't own a PS3 or Vita. Sound - WOOC supports 7.1 surround sound but is still amazing on my humble 5.1 system. The sound effects, music and announcer really get my heart pumping during a race. |
