Am I the one that gets the feeling Nintendo will try and turn Metroid into Wii's big FPS title? And I alone in thinking that would be a horrible thing to do? |

Metroid was the "big" first person game for Gamecube... and it was definitely one of the best gamecube games. I can't see Nintendo turning Metroid into a Halo-style FPS (with deathmatchs, etc). I'd say the Metroid game will probably be the first big Wii FPS/FPA (whichever you want to call it, but please don't start THAT debate again anyone) just because there doesn't seem to be anything else on the horizon. Nintendo need a new FPS franchise. Geist wasn't it. |

During school days I spend a good half to an hour playing N-Blox, a Tetris clone, during my one and a half Digital Design classes. Now that its Spring Break I started playing Super Mario 64 again (61/120 stars) and Kingdom Hearts II. |

All thanks to this little video of an AMAZING (yet, naturally unofficial) NES port of a SNES game, I ended up playing some emul'd Super Street Fighter II this morning (even though I had the actual SNES cartridge at hand not more than 2 feet away).

I've started playing through LEGO Star Wars II. I hate how the enemies completely ignore the other characters in your group and only target you. It reminds me of Star Wars: Battlefront II. Also, what is up with the vehicle controls? I got to the last level in Episode IV where you're flying X-Wings over the Death Star and... just... wow. I can't even describe how bad the controls are. I'm also playing Mercenaries again. There's nothing like calling in a cruise missle strike against a non-military building just for the heck of it.

The vehicle controls are terrible in LEGO Star Wars II, but stick with the game. It's a true gem and its even more fun if you can find someone willing to play cooperative with you. |

100%'d the Brain Age Sudoku puzzles... the night before the first of my two 20+ papers was due.
Managed to get the rocket-ship thingy for the last puzzle on the first try. I found the second to last one a WHOLE LOT HARDER. Another source of pre-paper-procrastination turned up in this little jem that I have Kotaku to thank for linking to... truly the best flash game I've ever played in my entire life. Also played through the prequel... still thirsty for more... might just shell out the $7 for the other chapter of the second. And the flashy-goodness didn't stop there... as there was this other hypnotically fun game I found just today. |

I finally got back to playing some Flying Dragon, and started playing Dragon Quest Monsters for the Game Boy Color.(btw, I know it was released in the US as Dragon Warrior Monsters, but this is easier to say, and it's still a correct name anyway) |

It's great fun; Gears of War and Oblivion have been put on hold! If you liked any of the Resident Evils then you'll love this. It has everything; a tight storyline (should you wish to follow it), freedom to roam (should you wish to igore the storyline ^_^), a vast and gruesome selection of weapons, plenty gore, thousands of zombies, tough bosses, vehicles, a huge mall to explore, leveling up, new skills to learn, melee combat and one big mystery to solve. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes action games... except Mop. I can't recommend it to Mop because your character needs to stand still to shoot, and I know how much he hates that. |
