I know 95% of us collect retro only but anyone who's slightly interested in this gen should see what deals are going on this weekend. I know walmart is absolutely dangerous to go. I went last year and people fought over $2 towels. But they have some sick deals on games from this gen. If you've yet to buy em and have a walmart near you try getting em heres some of the deals http://www.ign.com/wikis/deals/Walmart_2012 |

90 bucks for a Wii is a hella deal! I know the newer ones aren't backwards compatible with GameCube games but that's still an excellent price. |

Good deal here, spend $40 on clothes get NSMBU free. http://www.gameon.iotechie.com/old-navy-black-friday-deal-free-copy-of-wii-u-game/ This is probably the only thing I will go for on BF. Gonna get some free new shoes (gonna ebay the game since I don't have Wii U). The thing is, what time should I get there to wait in line? BF starts at midnight for Old Navy... |

I might buy a few things online if I bother to turn on my PC, but that's as far as my black friday participation will go... ![]() Spoiler: click to toggle To be totally honest, I'd rather pay regular prices on any other day of the year, and NOT deal with the ridiculous crowds/lines/madness that comes with retail America on this day. Time is money, and my time (and sanity!) is more valuable than the money I might save on something I probably didn't really need/want in the first place, but only purchased because of the deal.

ATTENTION! Walmart only stocks 5-10 of their video game related packages. Last year on certain items they were sold out in an instant. For example, on opening night a ridiculous amount of fan boys all crowded around the electronics section to get a $28 Black Ops, and they only had 5 copies. It's a scam. They advertise these "deals" in order to get you in the store. They figure while your there you'll just buy something else. They take extremely shallow losses on stocking a dozen 360's and selling them half at retail, because it's worth the short term risk by allowing you to divert your cash somewhere else within the store. I have a friend who works there, gives me the details, he absolutely despises black friday, ha. After the trampling on the news two years ago I went to see if it was really that bad last winter, and I assure you at mine it was. lol. I'll never go back. Not worth getting to see what absolute chaos might look like during an apocalypse. People want to fight over material s**t they don't need, and are willing to revert thousands of years of human progression for a set of bath towels. Sad but true. Heed my warnings. lol What I don't understand is, due to fire marshal codes, how is it legal for Walmart to allow upwards of a thousand people into their stores on that night? Isn't that against state safety regulations? ha Edited by TNT737373, Nov 21 2012, 01:52 PM.

Yeah I went to Walmart last year and I never thought it would be a big thing in my small town. But it was, by the time I had what I wanted and was on the way out it was PACKED and I was feeling claustrophobic. I might not even do the Old Navy SMBU thing and just look for online deals cause I have no idea how early I would have to get there, plus its over an hour away... |

Ugh, Black Friday. One of my friends is going down to the the U.S. for it. Hope he doesn't get trampled to death. There will be some sales up here in Canada but I'm probably going to mis them all, by the time I get off work it'll be too late anyway. |
