If you guys collect for ps2,gamecube,wii,ps3,or 360 I've found a really good way to get rare games for cheap. As you may know gamestop tends to not check ebay prices for weird rare games such as oregon trail for the wii. The game can catch prices of 50+ where gamestop sells it for 20. If you simply hit the button on their site to check if any gamestops in your area have that game, you can have them hold it for you and you can go get it. Most of the time they aren't CIB but you can still resell it and make profit. I just put metroid prime trilogy on hold, oregon trail sealed on hold, and digimon rumble battle 2 on hold and its gonna cost me 60 for the prime, 20 for the oregon, and 6 for the digimon. So this is a fantastic way to find rare games from the past 2 gens. Just thought i'd share it with you guys as it can really help get some rare games out of the way.

Nice tip, hockeylife! Yeah, I never got as far as using their site to check nearby stock, but there's a few stores in my area, and I used to check their shelves for anything that stood out... managed to score complete copies (and in good condition) of Electroplankton (DS) and Cubivore (GCN) for quite a bit cheaper than the average eBay prices.
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Nice idea to use! It's a pity that im not from USA, The majority of gaming stores over here in UK suck :( theres only one shop that sells retro games in my town and they check ebay and overprice there goods by a lot!

Not even stores where i live sell Gamecube games anymore!! :(
Buy ANY SNES/N64/GAMEBOY/GBC/GBA CIB PAL games So message me.

Gamestops usually rips gamers off so it's nice when we can turn the tables on them. I purchased 3 GameCube component cables from them for just $6 a piece. This is a pretty good deal as they regularly sell for about $70 and up on Ebay.

Here's a picture of one of my GameCubes along with my favorite games for the system and the aforementioned component cable.

Oh, this GC also has a Broadband Adapter in it which I also purchased at Gamestop for just 99 cents. They were so cheap that I eventually picked up 8 of them. :-8

Whhhhhhaaaa??? Gamestop chains were supposed to stop carrying all GameCube merchandise and begin eliminating their stock on April 2nd of this year. I don't understand, lol how did you possibly find three of these cables in 1 Gamestop 9 months past their purchase stop? And most importantly willl you sell me one? lol

I wish more UK based stores would sell retro games, alas, I only have flea markets I can go to apart from one overpriced reseller. (£20 for a GBA Pokémon!?!)

Wow, you really read a lot between the lines there. First, I purchased the GC component cables long before Gamestop stopped selling them. Second, I didn't get them all at one store.

PM what you're willing to pay and maybe I'll sell you one of them.
