I thought it would be interesting to see people's favorite moments in videogames as sometimes its the little moments in videogames that remind us why we love gaming so much. My favorite moment in any video game of all time is the very end of Ocarina of time when Spoiler: click to toggle

Kick, Punch, It's all in the mind

The Metal Gear Solid games. any of them, they all have really deep meanings that surprisingly most people dont pick up on. Spec Ops The Line, it took a lot of balls to okay that game for release, the gameplay itself is bad, but it has some of the best character development I've seen in a game |

Racing for Fulcon Capital

NES--the gates opening for Simon at the beginning of Castlevania; and the scene in the first Ninja Gaiden at the end of Stage 5(?) when Ryu sees the castle in the distance. SNES--racing out of Zebes in Super Metroid before it blows N64--the start of any race in SWE1R (Abyss excepted!) |

Gosh, what a great question. A few that come to mind for me: Running around the corner in Tomb Raider and seeing the T-Rex. That pivotal and emotional death scene from Final Fantasy VII. The first time you step foot on Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time. The ending of The Walking Dead, along with several tense split-moment decision sequences. Every single colossus in Shadow of the Colossus. Luna singing the song on the boat in Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Those evil ghost babies in Silent Hill. Riding around the countryside in GTA: San Andreas. Kicking people in Radiata Stories. Seeing people keeping to a real-time schedule in Shenmue. Finding Shao Kahn, Liu Kang and so many other MK characters in the Konquest mode of Mortal Kombat: Deception. |

Beating Stop and Go station in Donkey Kong Country. I remember playing the first level over and over to get extra lives and then losing the all on Stop and Go Station. Ill never forget when I finally got past that level. |

It's hard to tell all of them, but here are the ones (old ones)that come to my mind right now. Game Boy: PKMN Yellow, Silver (Seeing your strategy taking effect, Gym leaders battles + ending). Genesis: - The Lion King (back then, it was like playing the movie) - Alladin (The soundtrack and sprite animations. A lot better than the Snes version, one of the rarest moments I saw my Genesis beating my cousin's Snes) PSOne: - Metal Gear Solid (Everything) ... - Resident Evil 1, 2, 3. The characters + endings(Resident 3 ending is awesome) - FFIX (FMVs + the soundtrack and battle animations, ending) - Super Mario 64 (The movements, soundtrack, ending, everything)- Star Fox 64 (soundtrack, the chat between levels, ending) - Zelda OoT (When beating every single boss, soundtrack, and ending) - Conker's Bad Fur Day (Sloprano song LoL, Private Ryan and Matrix levels) - Perfect Dark (Soundtrack that takes you into action) Edited by R3dfi3lD, Jan 7 2013, 08:29 PM.

Too many to count! Here's just a few: Majora's Mask 1) The entire opening sequence. Link searching for Navi, chasing Deku Kid, falling into Termina and being transformed into the Deku Shrub. That entire sequence is so chilling, and perfectly sets the tone for the game's dark, depressing mood. Who'd have thought Nintendo would come out with something so dark on the N64? 2) The scene after you playing the Healing Song for the mummified father in Ikana Valley, and he reunites with his daughter. A truly touching moment. Final Fantasy X The CGI scene where Sin ravages through Kilika. This scene absolutely blew my mind when I first saw it. I wish Square would stop being so secretive and release some information about Final Fantasy X HD. Fallout 3 Stepping out of the vault for the first time. The screen goes blindingly-white for a few seconds as your character's eyes adjust to the sun, and then you see it. A completely decimated, post-apocalyptic world that stretches as far as the eye can see. Absolutely breathtaking. |
