"Hey everyone!

A few days ago, I posted about the Diddy Kong Pilot ROM I purchased about a week ago, basically I was wondering what to do with it. I decided to release it for free!
You can grab the download and read the post here: LINK REMOVED

It's the 2001 alpha build.

Any donations are appreciated, but not required

Thanks and enjoy!"

Waiting for an admin to comment, is it ok to post the link to the website?

I'd remove it and copy paste the article with the link removed I guess until a admin clears it up

Sorry guys, roms are not only against our rules, but zetaboards as well.

It was a kind gesture though, cooper. Feel free to discuss it if you like. That is allowed :)

Ownership of prototype carts is a legal minefield to start with.
But even when you disregard that, to charge money for "distributing" someone else's copyrighted work is never OK.

Regardless of who payed for it or who it is free to, it is a slippery slope. Copyrighted material is dangerous rto deal with. It is something that can get our forum in trouble, so we have to be carefull. I don't know what N.A.'S policies are on roms, but that is their business and their risk.

I hope everyone can understand where we are coming from.

I played a little bit of it. It's pretty cool. It's a lot like a watered down Diddy Kong Racing, but it'd be a pretty cool game to have on the go. It definitely beats Mario Kart Super Circuit even in its beta form.

wouldnt the link to the website "OK" but not the link to the direct ROM ? I know it's against every rules of this forum but since it's not hosted by any means here nor directly shared, how can a link can't be shared ? I mean, yeah you can use google to find it (which i already did), but i guess as long as the file (read: rom) is not shared directly via it's link, we're fine ?

just asking.

OT: seems like a very good port. im not a handheld guy, but that's seemed like a good quality game.
