THQ dissolved, properties get dispersed

Most of us had probably already heard about this but it seems that THQ is finally no more and it's largest properties are finding new homes for the future. I was mostly concerned about future WWE titles and it seems that Take-Two has acquired the license. Another day, another big game company disappearing.

Yeah that's pretty sad that these gaming companies are closing there doors. You would expect that this will probably keep happening to some of the smaller companies.

Very sad, because they make some excellent games.

Lmao I do recall their poor financial status being blamed on that stupid uDraw peripheral. If they risked that much producing such a generic and blatantly unoriginal product, serves them right. It looks like an overglorified Sega Pico.

Instead of a uDraw, you could buy a REAL Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet for the same price.

Endure and survive...
Sad news. They have cranked out some nice games for a long time! Most notably to me are their wrestling games. WcW/nWo World Tour on through the Raw vs Smackdown Series.

I was never much of a wrestling game fan, my cousins adored them though. I remember spending hours as a kid watching them wrestle on their ps1 lol.

I did quite enjoy the Saints Row games however :-)

I almost got one of those on Black Friday. Walmart was selling them for $10 and most of the games we had for around $15 apiece. I decided against it though.

Saints Row is amazing. I hope we'll get a fourth one as incredible as the third.

Saints row was sold to the people who own Dead Island. So it might be a little different lol.

Well, was THQ the developer of these games or merely the publisher? Because if their main role was publisher then the core games shouldn't be too different, just the promotion and whatever else publishers usually do. I know I'm oversimplifying it but it shouldn't be something we really have to worry about. I hope. >_>

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Saints Row was actually made by Volition and published by THQ. I read that the Dead Island people purchased all of Volition so it's the same people. Hopefully they have the same freedom to make another amazing game.
