Great thread!

My first memories were PAC-MAN (82-84) It ran for several years on the USA Network alongside GO-BOTS.

Tom & Jerry was a classic, but not a fan of the trippy revamp from the 60's...

Ren & Stimpy was timeles and deserves to still be around. Although people behind the scenes now work on Spongebob Squarepants, a show about a cat and a dog is more relatable than a premise about the recipe for an underwater sandwich!!!

Since i'm still a kid at heart, NICKELODEON's TMNT is the best thing goin! Canonically, they are finally getting the story right after 20+ years- even though it's a modern take.

Oh yeah!! New episode this morning! :phear:

Well lately I was in the watch-every-cartoon-intro-on-youtube mood and Gosh that was so Awesome.

The first cartoon which I remember watching was Conan the Barbarian, followed up by lots of 80/90s cartoons like Transformers/JI Joe/Gobots (or somthing), TMNT,Alfred J Quack, and around every series which where the Protectors of Guardian of the universes :D

After that period I was addicted to the 90s series. T-rex, Dino-riders, pokemon, Arthur and the knights of the round table, beast wars, COPS (the dude from "Its Crime fighting time 8) ") The Mask, Samurai Pizza Cats, M.A.S.K (or was this 80s?) Thundercats, Spacecats, Denver the Dinosaur and how could I forget Super Mario Super Show.

I can go on for hours!

Then came Cartoon Network (the old one) and my social life was over..

A lot of those old cartoons are now on Hulu or Youtube, and I have been having an absolute BLAST watching them all over again with my son. He's going to be so confused when he gets into Kindergarten and wonder why none of his friends know who the hell Tenderheart Bear is.

Postman Pat and Fireman Sam the retro ones when I was younger. Awesome, they don't make them like that anymore. Also watched other stuff as I got a bit older that had already been mentioned e.g. Hey Arnold etc. I still love South Park, absolutely awesome stuff.

Pokemon was good back in the day. I haven't watched it since I have fond memories of it. Not sure what to expect if I were to watch a random episode today. I remember I loved it though and getting Pokemon Stadium for my birthday was just like oooosh big box Pokemon to the N64 BOOM what a jump up from the Gameboy Color (I hate the spelling I'm English). :n64:

Captain Planet!
Like holy :pottymouth: , an entertaining kids show trying to encourage kids to recycle and stuff!
It sure had an effect on me!

I don't actually remember the show. But I think there was something called Widget? Maybe very late 80's, early 90s. I think he was an alien or some thing...

Here some.

Where's Wally
Rocko's Modern Life (LOVE how vulgar this show was! 😂)
Thomas the TANK! (who doesn't love trains?)
Tin-Tin (probably more because of Teeside Tin Tin)
The Trap Door!
Feral TV (you didn't get it if you weren't Australian and you miss out!!!)
https://youtu.be/w2irkSCZJvM

OK, that's enough for now.

Except for this:

Too many shows and nostalgia!
It's more than I can take!

Nice to see the topic get revived. Was one of my favorite "More About You" topics.

I probably said it before, but old cartoons IMO are way better than current cartoons. Some of the stuff meant for kids now is mindless and makes ZERO sense

I know I would be pretty picky about what shows any kids I might have in the future would watch.

And so parents should be.

I catch bits and pieces of "current" shows and do actually rate some of them, but not all that many.

It's the same with games as old shows like this.
If you get to simultaneously enjoy old classics AND your kid/s actually get something out of it...
That must be an awesome feeling 👍😊😊

yeaaah boy always good to see another initial d fan ^_^

annnnyways I grew up on a lot of Cartoons

Care Bears, One Piece (Yes the atrocious 4kids dub :-8 ) Pokemon, Spongebob, Arthur. the list goes on

though I didn't have cable growing up so home video releases were usually what I stuck with minus what came on good ol' PBS kids (and when some anime dubs would play on saturday morning) ~ <3

I am so so sorry for you lol

And I completely forgot about Arthur - that was huge for me, but I donít remember too many of the episodes. One of the main ones that stands out to me though was when the gang tried to make their own James Bond movie because they were too young to get in the theater.
