Thanks for posting, Vinyl. I will update the first post accordingly.

So what I learned is that Twelve Tales was NOT an unreleased BFD sequel, but rather an early build that evolved into BFD. One wonders if there is a playable prototype cart out there with a playable and near final build of this first (and conceptually different) Conker's game....
There is in fact a playable prototype version but it is still owned and kept by Rare... locked away... Never to be seen by us :(

In rare replay they actually say they still have the game in their archives even though there is no versions recorded on the collectors market (that I could find). Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDnvVbdEs7c

Actually I just remembered that if anyone is interested in the development of games and some unfinished/unreleased game there is a youtube channel called beta64 that has good videos about it (not all n64 stuff but a lot of it is)

Yea there is a HUGE number of games that never make it out of development for one reason or another... Sad really =/
