Remarkable but true... the full F-Zero AX arcade game has been found hidden on the Gamecube F-Zero GX disc.
If you have a Action Replay you can enter a string of codes to boot up the game in AX mode.
How cool is that?

Full Story (including AR codes) Here

This does make me wonder if the same is true for the Mario Kart arcade game... perhaps that's hidden on the Double Dash!! as well?
I bet some folks are trying to find it right now :)

I was wondering the SAME THING!

For the uninitiated (i.e., me), what Action Replay would one need to buy? On eBay, I see some Action Replay discs and some Action Replay memory cards. Are both pieces needed to work an Action Replay on a GC or Wii?

As in understand it, the Action Replay for Wii does not allow you to enter codes.
So you need the old Gamecube AR disc.
I've got a Cube that has been modded with a Qoob SX chip and IIRC this should also work
UPDATE Nope, the Qoob SX chip does NOT support Action Replay codes; you need the Pro version for that. shame!

wow thats amazing.

I find it fascinating when people play around with the values of certain strings and they unearth some cool unused stuff, like the Pikachu tail in Bad Fur Day

That's pretty sweet. And I have both the game and the 'Cube AR so I'll have to try it sometime.

If I get some time I'll rip my disc and try this out as Dolphin supports AR codes

Wonder where the files for this are hidden on the disc, might do some digging in the double dash files, I haven't played Mario Kart Arcade in a long time
