Thought this would be silly and fun. In life, we all sit down, we all stand, sometimes we walk. Sitting down VS standing up, which position do YOU prefer? Dicuss :-) Edited by YogurtStorm, Apr 8 2013, 10:50 PM.

Sitting down is way better than standing up IMO. I know floorcat has gotten himself a stand up desk for work so I know what he is going to put. Just like the old saying goes from when I was in the Army. Why stand when you can sit, why sit when you can lay down.

I'll be the first to vote stand. I sit so much that I like to stand up and walk often or else I feel like I'm doing nothing. |

It's hard for me to say really as I like sitting down at home but prefer walking around at work. Possibly because I'm a lot more relaxed at home and at work I like to be as active as possible. So with that said, I can't vote lol |

I say it depends on the situation. Instead of voting, I'll share this:

Sitting, for similar reasons that have already been said. I stand and walk around all day at work (and I never take breaks other than lunch) so when I get home I prefer sitting, either here at the comp or on the couch when I watch movies or play games. I do enjoy going for walks on my days off though, so I don't become a complete couch potato. |

Fun answers everyone! I expected sitting down to have a good turnout! ![]() I sit down at work all day, though I so occasionally stand just to make sure my legs aren't slowly grangreening ![]() Standing up it pretty cool, sometimes when I game it up and get ino it WAY too much, I tend to leap from my sitting position out into a standing formation, closer to the TV I voted Sitting though. Just sooo comfortable on my butt

At home I like to sit but i enjoy standing when i work or not in my own house. Many jobs have required me to stand for 12 hours a day and i kind of enjoy it now to be honest. The view is much better too.

It all depends what you're doing and what position you like to do it in.... Sometimes I prefer sitting, sometimes standing. The example i'm talking about here of course is watching football (soccer) Nowadays all our stadiums are seated due to health and safety regulations. What that has done is remove the ability of people to move around and join in with groups which are singing, so it kills the atmosphere a bit. In the days before the stadiums were all seated, the people who wanted to sing (the drunk ones) all met up in a certain place and it was great. I like sitting watching a game but given the choice I'd stand and sing with the rest of them

Dee called it... as if it was a surprise to anyone. Since I've been using my standing desk set-up, I've regained the ability to crack my back *nearly* whenever I want... SO SATISFYING!!! ... and probably the best part is when I say to my partner (pretty much every evening, literally) "I'm too tired to do [whatever]... I've been on my feet ALL DAY!!" (Of course, this is said in jest, since the stand-up desk was my choice.) |

a mix of both. standing up and staying in the same position for 2 mins and my back hurt like mofo. sitting down is the same unless I have a very good PC chair which im in right now. i've always had back problems as long as I can remember (:cussfit: feet). a little weight loss could help tho. |
